How can I change the background in SONY NWZ-S545

Go onto your menu and down to audio options. Normally there is a cap on the volume they put on the manufacturing settings. In Audio options, there is another setting for volume normally called general audio or something similar. Raise up the volume cap. There you have it.

It might be the battery problem. You will need to change it.

I'm afraid you probably can't. I have one of these things, only one year older, but I have not yet found anything to do with changing appearances or color. I'm afraid it is stuck that way, but you can still check online at http://www.sony-asia.com/support/product/nwz-s545.

If the firmware needs to be modified, then it had best be done by Sony servicemen. But I think you might have to separately order a special piece with a different background, if that facility is available, since I don't think normal service centers will do it from you.
