My acer aspire 5570 is the model and its saying back up your documents and programs but n the massage it advising to ask whether it can be replaced or repaired but after asking expects about the problem

usually means you have multiple badsectors, it can be repaired using your HD manufacturer bootable cd but usually its just a matter of time before it rolls over and dies. your best option is to image the drive with something like clonezilla or just backup your important files to a cd or dvd and buy another HD off a site like newegg.
Did you have a power failiure?Battery or AC?
Normally if power fails the computer on restart will want to continue the last process it was doing before the crash.
so you can either shut down again (while its trying to start)by holding the power button for 10 seconds till it stops) then restart,
this will clear the memory and restart without any problems,
if it needs to check the hard drives directories and fix any let it,
You can always restore the working setting later on,if you need too...
No mention of which OS your using so if you need more help can I have the Operating System too thanks and what updates are installed.
