There could be one of 2 things going on here. Ether you are having a software or hardware problem. To address the software problem you will need to connect the XBOX 360 to XBOX Live and download the latest updates to the system. Most likely this is your issue as the XBOX 360 came out before Halo 3 and you do not have an OS updates on the system to load it properly.
If you do not have an LIVE account. You might trying to check with a friend to see if he will log into your system to run the updates. Another option is that they sell just One Month LIVE card access cards for around 8 Dollars. These cards will let you get on line and get the updates with out having to get a one year subcription. Note alot of your newer games give you a One Month card with the game when you by it new to be able to get any updates you might need.
Now if the updates do not fix the problem then you have some kind of hardware problem and you may need to check with your local repair shop to see if they can fix tthe problem.
This sounds similar to what happened to me, except I couldn't load some multiplayer maps.
If you know someone that recently bought Halo 3,(within a week) ask him/her to return it with your defective game in the case. He/she will receive a new unopened Halo 3, and you can take your friend's recently opened copy of Halo 3.
If you don't want to be cheapskate, you can borrow Halo 3 from a friend, and save it on your hard drive. After that, you can use your defective disc just to play the game. Unfortunately, if you save it on your hard drive, it supposedly makes the game slower when searching for multiplayer matches online, and other things.
If you don't care about saving money, you could buy another copy of Halo 3.
your halo 3 disc is scratched. I can't see how big the scratch is but a minor scratch will allow you to play some campaign missions. My suggestion would be to borrow a friends halo 3 disc and install it to your hard drive. This solution would allow you & your friends to play campaign together
hi , im sorry 2 hear that would u need to do is take the game card out gently (and i mean gently) blow into the ds and the see if that works if it doesnt please dont panic just try again or take the ds card out and look and see if there something on it and if that does not work take back the (or game) back to the store u got it for and ask for a new one I hope this works
your laser is going out or something, or its dirty. mine was doing this to me. eventually it would not see the disc at all and kept saying open tray. i bought a philips laser lens cleaner for around 8 bucks and its helped me out so far. from what i've read though, this is only a temporary solution and will require service eventually.
Your system is headed for the dreaded red ring w/ three red rings. My system started doing the same thing just before this happend. If you have a service plan with it i would suggest returning it and getting a new one.
I tried all the there little tricks as well deleted everything off my harddrive all that good stuff i think it made mine worse. Cuz after all that i turned it back on and bam three red lights and no picture or sound.
