A7N8X-E Dlx, 3200+, Kingston Valueram, setup problem.....

I have a new A7N8X-E Deluxe, 3200+ oem, and 1gb Kinston Valuemax (two matched 512 sticks), and I can't get it up to 2.2 ghz.   (The package was bought from Mwave and I assumed it would function as implied by the advertisement.) I have it in a Antec 1080 with a Maxtor 120gb Ultra ATA 133. About the best I've been able to get is 180 ghz cpu & memory @ 3-3-3-8. I would appreciate any suggestions. TIA My other memory sticks no longer function now that I have downloaded the new 8 GB data traveler.

There are two parameters that control the cpu speed, one is fsb and the other is the frecuency of ram, make sure your cpu supports what you have and i dont remember where exactly are the options in the bios, but i had the same motherboard and i know they are arroun there just make sure to select 200 mhz for your memory if it is 400 mhz ok? and then make sure cpu supports fsb 400 so your fsb must be 400 in the bios... if you change somethings in the bios and after saving changes and rebooting the motherboard does not respond you just have to take the lithium battery off for 5 minutes and disconnect power cables or move the cmos jumper to reset position and you will be back in zero to keep trying, you cannot damage anything by just trying, but never try to give more tension to ram or any part.

I want to use kinston dataraveller 1GB and 2GB in OS win98, so please tell me is it possible or not? If yes then how?

New devices in Windows 98 are really hit and miss, especially when they use USB 2.0.

Check with the packaging to make sure your OS is supported. If it isn't, you'll need to look for another drive that does support Windows 98.

Also, make sure Windows is fully updated before using devices.

The best way to test it out is to plug it in. If Windows doesn't see the drive, your device is probably not compatible. If it does, then you're in luck.

My 32GB KINGSTON FLASH DRIVE IS DEAD BARELY AFTER

I had such an issue with my 16GB Kingston it just died after 2 month. But usually it comes with at least 5 year warranty. So I returned mine and got new one instead. My luck that I had my files backed up. Try to change your kingston if it's completely undiscovered by your PC. But try it on another PC or Mac first. Good luck!
