Download itunes. plug in ipod. wait for it to load. then RESTORE it to factory setting, when prompted, enter your name and uncheck the automatically sync.....AND update. itunes is what you use to put music on your ipod. if your songs haven't already started to move over to file, then add folder, and pick the folder that your music is in (usually MY MUSIC) if they are already mp3 format you wont have long to wait, but if they are not, you will need to wait for the songs to convert. once converted, you just simply choose your songs and drag them to your ipod. I have no radio siegnel from my ipod nano in my bose sound dock

The ipod headphone cord acts as an antenna, and with the design of the nano you can't plug them into the ipod and the docking station at the same time. You can buy an audio adapter cable - a 3.5mm to 3.5mm one; just plug one end into your ipod and the other end into the aux port on the back of your dock. You can then use the radio, as the cable will act as the antenna. I got one on ebay - the cable has plugs on each end which are the same size as your ipod headphone plug. You can also get them in variety stores or electrical stores.

There is a aux in the back of my stereo will it work for my ipod? i cant get the front mini aux to work?

For this to work you will need an aux cable with RCAs and an iPod cable with receiving RCAs, or an aux cable with an iPod cable on the other end( haven't seen that one...yet). Mount it near the center console because there will be no controlling the iPod from the radio, only sound.

AUX to work

Hello alex_maya21,

The AUX input on your CDE-9845 is on the back of the receiver. To use it, you need a cable with the appropriate connectors on each end. The receiver end needs to be a standard "mini plug" and the device end needs to match the output connector on your mp3 or iPod. There are many commercially available cables that you can plug in and run the device end under the dash to a convenient location. Almost any car audio retailer will have the correct cable or you can order one online from

Hope this helps.

Use the cable included with your iPod touch to connect the device with your computer. Plug the fat end into your iPod touch and the longer end into your computer.

Cant hear songs

It sounds like your headphone/hold cable is faulty. Try plugging it into a sound device with a docking bay. If no sound comes out of there either then it's a faulty logic board.
