Download itunes. plug in ipod. wait for it to load. then RESTORE it to factory setting, when prompted, enter your name and uncheck the automatically sync.....AND update. itunes is what you use to put music on your ipod. if your songs haven't already started to move over to itunes....click file, then add folder, and pick the folder that your music is in (usually MY MUSIC) if they are already mp3 format you wont have long to wait, but if they are not, you will need to wait for the songs to convert. once converted, you just simply choose your songs and drag them to your ipod. Apple ipod locked gives message go to itunes that is it no function - help

Hi there,

Have you tried doing a reset by pressing the On/Off button and the Home button and holding them for a few seconds? If this does not help, then all you can do is to do a Restore. By doing this, you need to open iTunes on your computer and plugin the Sync cable on the usb port of your computer (but do not plug the other end of the cable to the ipod yet). You must hold the home button and dont let go, then plug the other end of the sync cable to the ipod. Your iTunes should pop up a message that it detected an Ipod. Just click ok. It would ask you if you would like to Restore. Just click on that and follow the step by step procedure. Please take note that this would wipe out all saved data and music on your ipod.

Please let me know if you find this helpful. Thank you for using FixYa.

How to charge it.

You need a nano USB charger cable to connect the nano to your computer or an AC adapter USB nano cable to plug the nano into an AC outlet. You can find a variety of cables and adapters on the internet that will allow you to charge your nano.

I have a 120 gig classic ipod, and i have 3 white

It is probably a short in the connector inside the unit going from the screen to the circuit board. You can replace the screen yourself, just have to do some google searching. Also, if you wanted to connect your Ipod to a TV, you can plug an RCA cable into the sound port. You have to have the cable that has three prongs on one end (yellow for video, red & white for sound), the other end of this cable is a 3.5" (headphone) audio plug. Classic iPods export video data from the sound headphone jack!

Use the cable included with your iPod touch to connect the device with your computer. Plug the fat end into your iPod touch and the longer end into your computer.

Cant hear songs

It sounds like your headphone/hold cable is faulty. Try plugging it into a sound device with a docking bay. If no sound comes out of there either then it's a faulty logic board.
