Please try to do the following steps.
Remove parallel, USB, and/or network connections andrecycle the printer's power so that it is operating as a standalone machine.
If it powers up to the Ready state, print the MenuSettings page(s) from the Utilities Menu.
If the printer works without error while disconnectedeither from the network or a locally attached computer, there is a strong possibilitythat a corrupted file or network/parallel/USB connection is causing theerror. Look for patterns such as aparticular file or a particular workstation generating the error when data issent to the printer.
Clear the print queue and connect all cables back andturn the printer back on.
Resubmit the print job(s) and try printing again
If the error will not clear, please take note of thesecondary code and contact Lexmark Technical Support.
We recommend you choose to save the file within a directory on your computer's hard drive. Once it has been saved, go ahead and run the file. The downloaded files are self-extracting ZIP files. Running this file will create a set of .PJL files and a file entitled Readme.1st. The Readme.1st file also contains directions for sending the file over through a parallel connection.
This typically indicates a controller board failure. I would need to know the exact printer model to tell you what part you would need order. Example: T632N model uses part number 56P3083 -- CARD SYSTEM NETWORK T632N
a 900 rip error is the engine card. located behind the system board (formatter) if you can get the printer to a ready state you can phone 1800lexmark and get a pin code from them costs about 15 bucks. if this flash does not work you will likley need a new engine card.
i take it that your getting an invalide engine code error? this is caused usually by the printer taking a power surge. you can get a batch file from lexmark to reflash the engine board however if it will take the code it usually odesnt last to long. change the engine board and your problem will go away
do you get 5 beeps when the printer powers up? three things can cause this the control panel, the logic board and the engine board if you have replaced the logic board the engine board is the problem change that and your problem should go away
