That would be a messy job indeed. but you can do it. all you need is to be careful enough. try to unscew the keyboard and arrange everything according to the way you dismantle it. be very careful with the rubber housing for your keyboard as this will affect the way you type.

look for the small board which has the leds soldered to it and start the unsoldering from there. after doing the led changing, replace everything back as the way that you put it. just be sure that you are able to arrange everything the way that it should be.

hope this helps.

The Dell user manual has the beep codes, which usually are in sequences with short pauses between. To figure out the problem one needs to know the spacing of the codes. Is it 1-2-3, or 2-2-2, or 3-1-2 or what? The first thing I would check is the RAM - make sure it is seated correctly, and try removing all but one stick.

Macbook screen is zoomed or magnified too much. How do i reset it?

Accessibility Zoom?

If everything is messed up and not just one app, you may have managed to switch on accessibility features and triggered the zoom. Does the screen scroll around as you move the cursor?
As all of the controls are customisable, some things may not work but try <option><command><minus> to zoom out.
Go to System Preferences and select Accessibility. Choose Zoom on the left and uncheck 'Use keyboard shortcuts to zoom' and 'use scroll gesture...'.

Otherwise, some of the other suggestions should help.

My console keyboard is locked up

The keyboard cable is likely messed up, but things break. Id use a USB external board, or order a new keyboard for that machine.

Need to replace keyboard in HP Pavilion dv6626us Entertainment Notebook PC. thanks

Turn the computer off and close the computer lid.
Remove the battery and the AC power supply.

1st we need to remove the switch cover or keyboard bezel. This is plastic strip that runs above the keyboard.

Turn the computer upside down with the front panel towards you.
Remove the three Phillips screws that secure the switch cover to the computer.

Turn the computer display-side up with the front toward you.
Open the computer as far as possible.
Lift the rear edge of the switch cover and swing it forward until it rests on the keyboard.

Release the zero insertion force (ZIF) connector to which the LED board cable is connected and disconnect the cable from the LED board.
Remove the switch cover.

Now remove the panel directly above the battery compartment and remove the 2 keyboard screws there and another 2 screw in the battery compartment (they should me marked with icons of keyboards)

Turn the computer display-side up with the front panel towards you.
Open the computer as far as possible.
Lift the rear edge of the keyboard until it rests at an angle.
Slide the keyboard back to disengage the tabs on the front edge of the keyboard from the top cover.
Swing the keyboard forward until it rests on the palm rest.

Release the ZIF connector to which the keyboard cable is connected and disconnect the keyboard cable from the system board.

Remove the keyboard.

Just reverse the procedures to replace everything.

Good luck.

Casio CT-670 Tone Bank keyboard completely dead

How familiar are you with schematics? I've just found my CT-670, There where marker marks on the keys. I cleaned it up. I took it apart as one channels had no sound. I love this machine. I want to find a manual for it also schematics would be very helpful for me too.
I would suggest looking inside for burns on semiconductors. or loose soldering. I need to replace a chip that has no cross reference... that I've found yet... I think it's an amplifier but need to spend more time on it....

Try doing flea power & the power cycle.

1. Disconnect all the peripherals like keyboard, mouse, printer, scanner & monitor and power supply from the CPU.

And press & hold the power button for 1 min, it will release the flea power from the mother board.

Restart the system & check.

2. Disconnect everything.wait for 5-10 minutes and then connect every thing & start the system.

Restart the system.

Hope this helps.

Good Luck.
