I have an Acer Aspire 3000 notebook and only until I just returned from a trip in which I brought my Acer has my keyboard started acting up. The keyboard lag is tremendous. Even the Fn fucntion keys seem to not function properly. Although the lag disappears when I boot in Safe Mode, I still can't use the FN buttons. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you so much.

Hi what do you mean stuck.Does it lag or did it stop typing. This can be a hardware or software issue. If hardware remove your keyboard and check to see whether the cable has disconnected. And if software let me know.If you don't know how to remove the keyboard without damaging the computer let me know. I Can help.
i had the same problem. the battery does something during startup and the only way i found to fix it was to turn it on without a battery while its plugged into the adapter, or leave it in standby instead of shutting down... i dont know if theres a better way, but thats what i do.
If you mean that you're manually trying to remove the battery then you will have to remove the keyboard for that. Just did it the other day on a client's notebook of 3000 series. There's one screw holding the dvd drive in place which you will see as soon as you raise the keyboard.
