Pc input mode not supported

First, we need to look at how to make your PC send the correct signal. As a general rule, I can say that you will likely need some sort of adapter in your PC in order to send a signal to the TV. This is typically referred to as a "tuner card." It converts PC output to the input that a TV can understand. I don't normally recommend Wikipedia, but this article does tell you the basics of how to get signals from a TV to a PC:

Then, it would be helpful to know what brand, model #, etc. "this" TV is.

Most Dell LCDs have multiple inputs and they will go into "standby" while waiting for a signal from your PC. This happens when your PC goes into "sleep" mode or if you are sure your PC is not in "sleep" mode then usually the LCD is not in the correct input selection. Check the input selection for the appropriate input. As always, make sure the cables are securely connected. Hope this helps.

Be sure to update all the drivers! I have installed many set-ups like that and most often, I need to do all the updates to make everything work. Sometimes HDMI is even more troublesome. If you go that route, be sure to purchase it at a place that allows returns on such items. Best Buy and Staples, are a couple that are usually pretty good about that. You might want to ask a "Geek" at Best buy and see if they have further input on this.

Can you please get me the make and model of the monitor? Also did you check to see if the refresh rate of the monitor matches with that of the mac mini?

do not believe you need replace the hard drive
i think you may have a registry error
you may have a application conflict or surface error

try booting in either step mode or safe mode

step mode will let you know where in the boot process the error occures

in safe mode you can run a registry utility like iolo system / registry mechanic
& run error checking

if you need neer to remove & backup your drive you can get a hard drive usb adapter cable set $10-$20 - less work

I have successfully recorded to a mini Dv tape from my computer however I connected my PC to the VX2100 using the RCA inputs. I have an adapter that I purchased from best buy that provides the RCA input/output. If your able to connect that make sure to...

1. Turn you VX2100 to Play/Edit mode (not camera mode)
2. Insure the program on your mac has an external output otherwise you won't be able to record.
3. See if your video editing software (if your using one) has an option for record to tape or to camera. I use Vegas Studio and it has an option for that.

Best use Memory Card Readers, F10 is USB 1.1 so moving data is quite slow specially if you take 6MP photos. Just get a XD card reader whihc is USB 2.0

It could be that one of the computers supports analog and the other supports digital. You should be able to switch between the two input methods directly from your monitor via the buttons in the front.
