Question about Flat Panel Televisions

1 Answer

47" Plasma (6 months old)

On bright scenes or white clothing on the screen tends to have a red pixel rash on at times. It comes and goes. But extremely annoying. How do I correct this? Is it Electronic Drift?

Yes that is electronic drift. the waveform created on the y-sus board is overdriven. you will need an experienced technician to do this for you. be sure to confirm the technician has done this procedure before as leaving it to high or low can damage the tv over an extensive period of time.

Voire 46" plasma tv- best color settings, to much white

The proper way to set flat screen tv's is opposite of old school CRT tv. First, find a movie with dark scenes and pause on a really dark part. Now set brightness only high enough to see some detail - no more. then go to a really bright scene and set contrast just high enough for good brightness. You may need to go back and forth a few times to get good setting.

The color static, if we are talking about the same thing, is usually a digital signal interference. Check cables, and digital converter if used.

I have red dots or pixels if u will spreading all over my 50 plasma its really bad on pure black screen but it does show up when it goes to color too they come and go is it a graphics card problem and is...

It depends on the size, location and how many dead pixels. If remember less that 5 they won't do nothing about them. Call the warranty people and find out. they will for the location, size of pixel and quantities. Good luck to you.

Blue snowy pixel areas on my plasma

some of these panels were mis-calibrated from the factory after not aging long enough. Let the TV run for atleast 2 hours and adjust the Vs and Vscan voltages. When it is blue in the left I have found generally the Vs is about 10 volts too high.
