Go to your inbox, click the options button (a white square withe three parallel grey lines) as usual. Do not select "Delete" but "Mark/Unmark". Check the box on the yop left hand corner and your phone will select all but the first message (you can avoid this by first unchecking the first message or checking the first message separately with a second touch) then touch "Delete at the bottom centre of the screen". Your messages in that folder are deleted permanently.

Go your message setting. There is option where you'll save your message and choose save to memory card. Delete all message in inbox and outbox folder, delete all cache in your browser and close all active applications. Try to send text message. If the notification "Memory full" still appear you must uninstall a one or more application (not just close it but uninstall it) to make some space in your phone memory. Choose application that you don't use the most. If the problem persist, format your phone back to factory setting.
Blackberrys have something called a low memory manager, which deletes things in order of importance when the device memory is too low. Here is a very helpful link explaining it and how to check the device memory.http://my.simmons.edu/technology/helpdesk/pdf/Blackberry_Low_Memory_Manager.pdf
If you are saving pictures or have a large application you have downloaded you may want to transfer/remove them.
hello have you tried From your text message screen click MENU then FOLDERS. Highlight the

OK, after reading that some people fix their issues by taking out the battery and then putting it back it, I tried it and it worked! I am sure it will happen again and there has to be another way to clear them, but this works for now.
Should also just be able to select Menu->Folders, get on the folder you want cleared, click Menu->Delete All. If you don't have items in that folder you will see Delete All but you won't be able to select it.
