Water pooling under my express thaw bin in bottom of refrigerator

I have a model PSS26SGRB. Water is dripping and pooling under the bottom bin and then when it's full enough, it comes pouring out the bottom right front corner of the frige. We don't have a manual with it and I'm not exactly sure how that bottom bin works. I know that it is different than the other two bins. I think you can use it to defrost stuff in but I figured if we just kept it at the same temp as the rest of the refrige we could use it like regular drawers. We just use it for more veggies and I thought the problem was caused by me not getting the drawer shut completely one time but now the problem keeps happening. Is there anyway that this is connected to the water dispenser? Should we shut that off? Please help . Our wood floors are going to be ruined. Thanks

Thank you so much for the tip. My husband was able to locate the leak in the cooling/holding tank and has sealed it up. Hopefully that's it.

My problem is also with my side by side frigidaire gallery model FRS24XGCW. Water is pooling at the bottom of my freezer and eventually filling up and leaking onto the floor. I know the water is not coming from the ice maker. This has been going on for quite some time and I have used a shop vac to **** the water out of the catcher but this is only a 1 year fix and the same problem reccurs.

No connection between lower drawer and water dispenser, however there is a water tank behind the crisper's storing water for the dispenser, its possible that there is a hole in the tank or a connection is leaking there and dripping water. remove all 3 crisper's and give a look at it. try getting water from dispenser while your checking (Might only leak when water dispenses

Where can I access the defrost drain hole in my Kenmore model 253.74879404 Refrigerator? Disassembling the freezer did not work.

I've used used a compressor for that drain hole at the back of the fridge. A hanger wire will work too. I've never tried it but maybe a can of compressed air might work also.
The water drain line is plugged and that little catch tray is overflowing. That's why you're ending up with water under your bins inside the fridge. The problem is not in the freezer or else you'd have a skating rink on the floor of the freezer.
I don't recognize the photos exactly but they're all the same principle. Take everything out of the fridge , including the racks. It's far easier than o find the screws and disassemble the drain "catchall".
Good luck.

Refrigerator leaking water

You gave no manufacturer name or model number so this is only a guess: If you refrigerator is a self defrosting one, it will periodically, allow ice building up in it to turn to water which naturally drips to the lowest point. Most refrigerators have a drain below the vegetable bins on the bottom. That is probably where the water is coming from. Solutions include putting a shallow baking pan under the bins or under the refrigerator to catch the water, then empty it periodically.

Our refrigerator is getting a pool of water underneath the crisper bins. We do not have the ice maker hooked up. Water drips down and freezes into ice on the bottom of the refrigerator inside. I am not...

water is coming from the defrost cycle and is not making it to the drain pan on the bottom. try cleaning the coils and if you can locate the drain that goes to the pan and blow in it this will clear it out. thank you.

Model TBX21KLK water pooling UNDER vegetable bins

Your evaporator coils frost up in normal use and every eight hours or so the entire unit shuts down and the defrost heater comes on to melt the frost. This cycle last about 20 minutes. The melted frost drips into a drain pan and through a drain tube to the drain tray under the freezer/refrigerator where it's evaporated by the condenser fan.

Your drain tube may be stopped up with ice at the upper end because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little pressure with a turkey baster will usually clear it out. Flushing it out with hot water and clorox may help.
Make sure it drains quick enough to prevent refreezing. . The drain should be located below the evaporator coils on the lower back of the freezer.

Water in bottom of refrigerator coming from freezer (not really sure of the exact model as I'm not home to double check).

If water appears on the floor in front of the refrigerator once or twice a day, it could be due to a clog in the defrost drain tube. The usual evidence of a clogged drain in a side-by-side refrigerator is ice under the bottom basket in the freezer compartment, in addition to a puddle of water on the floor. Frididaire side by side refrigerator- water freezing in bottom

Frozen or Plugged Defrost Drain

On Side By Side Refrigerator

The defrost drain pan is located at the bottom of the freezer compartment behind the back wall of the freezer. On some models the pan is accessible without removing the back panel and others are not.

Once you get to the defrost drain pan use a hair dryer to melt the ice from the pan.

Once the ice is removed use a turkey baster like this one: Turkey Baster http://www.repairclinic.com/SSPartDetail.aspx?PartID=428708&PPStack=1

To squirt hot water into the drain hole to clear the drain.

When the drain is clear you should hear or see the water you are squirting into the hole enter the pan under or behind the refrigerator.
