Question about Dacor Preference SGM304 Gas Cooktop
I have the same problem: right rear control **** - "blue indicator light" no longer lights up. I am aware of the possible parts required from Dacor.com, but I would like to know how to open the cooktop unit and how to remove the knobs without breaking them.
ON DACOR AS WELL AS THERMADOR YOU HAVE TO TAKE ALL THE BURNER CAPS OFF AND INTHE CENTER OF EACH BURNER CELL YOU WILL SEE A RELEASE NUT THEIR ARE 3 TO 4 DIFFERENT TYPES BUT THE MOST COMMON REQUIRES 13/16 SOCKET OR A 3N1 PUTTY KNIFE TO UNSCREW THEM. BE VERY VERY CAREFUL IF THE NUTS DO NOT COME LOOSE FREELY DO NOT FORCE THEM!!! USE SOME LIQUID WRENCH AND LET IT SOAK FOR A WHILE THEN ATTEPMT AGAIN. OTHER WISE YOU WILL MANGLE YOUR GAS TUBE AND ORFICECES AND HAVE 7OR 8 PARTS TO ORDER INSTEAD OF ONE
