Lost light Whirlpool Regal refrigerator

I have a Whirlpool Regal refrigerator. Last week the light bulb had no light. I replaced it with a new one but it was still no light. I tested this new light bulb and it works fine. The refrigerator was functioning fine except no light. Is there any easy fix by my self?

Two ways might first un plug the unit take the bulb ou and with your finger pull up on the contact inside the light socket ***** the bulb back in and try it if that doesn't work unplug the unit and with a mall screwdriver pry out the switch un plug one wire and with a meter check it to see if its working right or just replace it

How to change light bulb in refrigerator

Hello,

Unplug the Whirlpool refrigerator from the electrical outlet.
Step 2
Locate the bulb on the inside of the Whirlpool refrigerator.
Step 3
Remove the light cover. Usually these just snap off, but, on some models, they may need to be unscrewed. Use your screwdriver to unscrew the light cover retaining screws (if required).
Step 4
Unscrew the old light bulb.
Step 5
Screw in the new light bulb.
Step 6
Replace the light cover. Plug the Whirlpool refrigerator back in. Test your new light bulb.
Also note that the below can also work

Unplug refrigerator or disconnect power.
Slide the light bulb cover toward the back of the compartment to release it from the light assembly.
Replace burned-out bulb(s) with appliance light bulb(s) no greater than 40 watts.
Replace the light bulb cover by inserting the tabs on the cover into the liner holes on each side of light assembly. Slide the cover toward the front until it locks into place.

NOTE: Do not force the cover beyond its locking point; doing so may damage the light cover.
Plug in refrigerator or reconnect power.
To change the freezer light bulb:

Unplug refrigerator or disconnect power.

NOTE: You may need to remove the upper freezer shelf or basket to access the light assembly.
The light bulb cover opens from the back. Firmly press forward on the notches in the back of the cover and pull down the cover.

Remove the cover and replace the burned-out bulb with an appliance bulb no greater than 40 watts.
Insert the front tabs of the cover into the liner and snap the back portion of the cover over the light assembly.
Plug in refrigerator or reconnect power.

Good luck in applying the solution
