Sounds like you could have a major clog in the blower wheel. Or the wheel could be loose on the motor shaft.

The procedure to reach the blower wheel depends on the model. I can walk you through it if you post the model number. (nameplate inside door, or on the top back left behind the console.)

Have Maytag gas dryer model DG412. Ignited glows, will light gas, but then gas shuts off after a minute or so. Replaced the solenoids, didn't help, same thing happens. Gas ignites, but quickly shuts off....

if the flame goes out fast like that the dryer has to be cleaned out and also check the vent line, all a dryer does is move air if it's blocked and can't move air the flame won't stay lit.that's a gas dryer it should be taken apart once a year and cleaned so this doesn't happen and also so you don't have a fire.check the duct where the lint filter slides into and you can remove the vent line from the back of the dryer,if the gas stays on then you know the block is in the vent line.make sure there isn't a cage outside or a birds nest isn't in the vent these are common things that happen.

Maytag ldg7500aaw gas dryer. I have replaced the coils, checked the flame sensor and the other sensor on the flame tube. It still ignites then goes off.

Hi,
How long does the flame stay on? Burner parts, you may have a air flow issue, disconnect the vent from the back of the unit. run the unit. If the unit runs better, the issue is not in the dryer. If while disconnected the unit fail to still run, the problem is internal and will need to be taken apart to clean out the vent system in the door area.
Good Luck

My Maytag dryer does not heat. The ignitor glows hot, and the coils engage (click) which lets the gas ignite, but goes out after about 10 sec. So I figured it to be the thermo fuse at the burner,...

are you sure the vent is open and not lugger? if it can't flow then it may be overheating and that will turn it off. check the vent and inside the dryer as there may be a blockage inside it as well.

Have a Maytag gas dryer, model#:LDG7314AAE, flame wont stay lit.

Clean/repair your dryer vent. The flame when it exits the funnel should not touch or just barely touch the funnel end. This indicates good airflow. A good test for the clogged/damaged vent is to disconnect the vent hose from the dryer and run it as is. If the flame stays - clean vent. If not - clean air path inside the dryer

Dryer runs ,heats up flame goes off after 30 secs won't relight

Seems to be a problem with the bas valves....you shouldve seen them in front of ignitor...will show similar signs of ignitor. part#306106 AND 306105. come off easily with a few screws and just slide over valve assembly.

run dryer for 10 minutes then remove vent hose see if start working mean flame on for while, if it is then you need to clean your vent system.

Check for a blocked vent.

Dryer flame shuts off after about 30 seconds

this sounds like a clogged vent more than a thermostat. go outside with the dryer running and see if hot air is blowing out the vent. if not check outside vent for birds nest etc, inside make sure the vent is straight any dips in vent could cause water to build up clogging the vent. try this first if it doesn't work write back

Maytag dryer

need to question why you think its not a venting issue, did you try without vent attached???, cuase it definitly sounds like an air flow issue. if doing that diconnected i would look into possible the blower wheel housing is not sealing correctly and your suckin the air towards it(highly unlikely) cant see the wheel coming off . gotta say air flow issue!!!

Kenmore Elite Dryer HE4 Quietpak 9, has 4 dim lights showing on the console display but won't start or respond, I have bought brand new and replaced all sensors. Replaced heating element. looked like the original heating element. Pack came with new sensors. I did not test with a multimeter. My plan is to measure continuity on all the old sensors. Then do the same on the new ones. The electronic board looks good, does not smell burnt or old burnt smell. I cleaned all the lint in this dryer but unfortunately the motor has some lint in it which I surfaced cleaned. The only way to get to the motor is to remove the drum. So far I have soent $40 on all parts and a week works of troubleshooting as a novice. On the main display read, it shows two small dim lot red lines, wish I could send you a picture. Also when the fuse is off I plugged in the dryer and all the lights turned on normal. All looked in working condition except of course it did not turn on, I have not replaced the switch and with the new fuse, by the way, I bought 5 to 6 of the same fuses thinking I was burning them, that's why I bought a multimeter to retest them to see if they are not burnt. When I plug in the fuse it goes black but the door light works. I have held down the start button, nothing, held down the cancel button, nothing, I have done the crazy push all buttons even shook the machine a bit just in case something was causing whatever myth I was conjuring. I am about to give up and just buy a used one from someone else but I think I can fix this, it should be very simple to fix.
