Question about Computers & Internet
When trying to load Operating System Error 0xA000000C occures will not go any further. This is on an Acer Aspire Extensa EX4620-4605. Is this serious or just a bad Hard Drive?
The hard drive may not be bad, download MaxBlast Powermax as a bootable cd and run. Choose the option to re-certify hard drive. This option will not erase anything, just insure the hard drive is ok. If the MBR (master boot record) is corrupt it will attempt repair. If the re-cert goes ok, remove cd and reboot. If the OS still fails, re-install cd and choose option to low level format. This sets the hard drive to all zeros and will be detected as a RAW drive. Now reload OS. LINK
