Backlight Problem My phone backlight is not auto switched on anymore when I unlock the keypad. It's quite dim. If I go to display settings to adjust the backlight amount, it is brightly lit again. What has caused the problem?

Can you return her under warrenty? It is quite unusual for a dim backlight.
Joking aside, check your manual. There is a setting to "Brighten" your display.

My backlight. LG 285

Go into the menu, settings (bottom selection, looks like a gear), click on Display, then brightness. Adjust as needed.

My i-mate phone gives me troublesfails to recognize memory card,

First, you should backup your data. You should then download the latest firmware from i-Mate or your cellular provider (if available). You may need to unlock your phone if it is not unlocked.

Once the new firmware is installed, you should not have problems. Updating the firmware can be a lengthy experience. I would set aside 2-4 hours to upgrade and get your information back on.

A much faster method would be to hard reset the phone. If the problem persists, it is most likely a hardware issue with the backlight of the phone. It may need to be replaced.

Does the backlight turn on when the phone is booting up (after a reset or turning on)
