My Fuji A350 has given me good service. It has suddenly stopped working and displays "Card Not Initalized". I have not changed cards, this has just started out of the blue, no dropping it or anything.

Sounds like you're formatting the card in your computer. You need to format it in the camera.

Okay I think there is a sequence of errors that have happened.
According to my specification of your camera it works with an XD Picture Card NOT an SD card.
First I'm going to assume you put a new memory card in your camera to take the pictures of your "Art GCSE" If this is so then the card needed formatted to the camera (your camera manual may call this initializing) and you have inserted the correct card type. Also the maximum size of the XD card that can be used in your camera is a 512MB. Again if this was the case the camera wouldn't "see" the memory card. I'm sure the camera would have malfunctioned before you started taking your project pictures given warnings or shut down. Can you turn on the camera and see your pictures in the "Play Back" mode? Are you sure you have listed the correct camera make and model. It sounds to me as if we are talking two different cameras here because the XD Memory Card doesn't have a lock the SD memory card does The SD memory card doesn't fit in your Fuji FinePix A350 camera Also the camera you have listed here doesn't have an internal memory it has to work with a memory card Just below here is a link to a PDF Manual

Can you put the memory card that you feel has the pictures on it and use the camera Play Back mode and see pictures?

Is the card larger than 2GB.
If so its too big for the S7000.
The only solution to more capacity is 2GB xd card + 2GB compact flash card.
Or just use as many XD cards as you need.

Sometimes the camera makers forget to explain that "initialized" means the same as "formatting". Look up "formating" in your camera manual (also available as a download from www.fujifilmusa.com

You have to initilize the hard drive, even though you don't have one. Go to google and type in "HP 4600 card slot not initalized" and I think you will find the procedure to clear message. Our printer worked for a month or more with this message.

the Biggest xd card that you can use for your cam is 2Gigs. Let me know if you need more assistance alright.

I get the same error message with Olympus 2GB xd M card. I tried formatting as described on http://www.fixya.com/support/p223298-fuji_finepix_a350_digital_camera/manual-1371/page-27 and page 28 but it did not work for me. :-((

I Found the menu to Format the card.

Buy a new cheap mem card lol
