Question about Canon imageCLASS D880 All-In-One Laser Printer
My employers use the Canon imageCLASS D880, and I presume have for some time. However, when we get a message that the toner is low, it no longer will receive faxes. It stores them in the memory until we replace the ink cartridge. Is there any way to correct this problem, or is this standard for this printer?
Will not send or receive fax

This is a safety feature. If it tried to print the fax, but there was no toner, not only would you not be able to read the fax, but it would be gone forever (it gets erased from memory once it is printed).
