ORPress the fn key and check one of the F buttons most probably at the top of the keyboard which looks like the num pad. keep holding the fn key and then press that F button in mine its F11 and leave them together.

Numeric pad not working

Start, click Run, and type regedit to open the Windows registry editor.

In the registry, open the below folders.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\
Control Panel\
Keyboard\

Within the keyboard folder, you should have a string value named "InitialKeyboardIndicators" with a value of 0, 1, or 2. Below is the explanation of each of these values.

0 = Num Lock is turned OFF after the logon.
1 = Disable Num Lock.
2 = Numlock is turned ON after the logon.

Theres several types but here are the top three.

I use type 2 more than any other.


Type 1 During the code request mode, while holding the DISP key depressed, press and hold the Volume UP or DOWN key for 3 seconds (so that "..." disappears). Then using your remote enter your code.

Unlock numeric key pad on lap top
your laptop should have a blue FN key (Function) that will work in conjunction with other blue keys on teh keyboard. most laptops this is located in the lower left, next to the ctrl key. Look to the right top on your keyboard for a one labeled numlk. hold down teh left FN key and tap the right num lk key and you just turned off the numbers lock.

There is another option that is a little more intense - if interested let me know that laptop type you have.
