What were you doing on your pc when this happened? Did you change any setting or install any app or allow an update or upgrade to load? what app name?

Did you open the case? Did you add or change any hardware before this happened? Is the component securely mounted? Were you static grounded during this?

What did you do to you pc after this problem occured?

What do you see, hear, smell? Which LEDs, HD, CD, fan, LAN, WiFi? USB flash? Router, printer, scanner, other external or internal device? Burning?

Do you plug you pc into a surge protector or battery backup? What rating?
Did you experience a power fluxuation or surge lately? Was you pc on at the time?

Have you checked basics - loose cord, cut or torn cord, dead battery, dead power supply, dead wall outlet?

Did the pc fall or thrown; or incure any physical damage; or sudden shaking recently; or any liquid contact?

Where do you place pc when transporting?
