FIC FR33E motherboard?

Reference: Photo

To the far left side of the motherboard, is actually the Bottom of the motherboard, when installed in your computer case.

The two White long expansion slots you see, are PCI expansion slots.
If one is available, (Open), you can use a PCI USB adapter card.
This is but one example,

Seem cheap? Nope. Good quality also. (You can also check the reviews)

Need guidance in installing?
1) Follow Anti-Static Precautions

Anti-Static Precautions:
Your body carries Static electricity. Static WILL fry out (Short Circuit) the delicate hardware components inside the computer.

Computer on a table, computer unplugged from power, computer case open.

[Note* Always unplug the power to a computer AT the surge protector. NOT at the back of the computer. (Power Supply)
You can cause a power surge ]

2) TOUCH an unpainted surface, of the metal frame of the open computer case.
This action will relieve your body of Static.

Should you leave your computer in the middle of working on it, be SURE to Touch the metal frame again, upon your return.

3) Finding an open PCI slot look at the back of the computer. In the metal frame you will see slots going horizontally.
These are Expansion Slots.

You may have an add-on adapter card already installed, in one of the PCI slots.
The expansion slot cover for it is removed.

You should see expansion slot covers however, in the remaining expansion slots on the back of the computer metal framework.
Remove the one that corresponds with the PCI slot you wish to use.

Be aware that the PCI slot will not be directly in line, with the expansion slot.
When installing an add-on adapter card, you will see when the card is inserted in the PCI slot, the metal bracket on the add-on card, lines up with an adjacent expansion slot.

This will make more sense to you once you go to install the card.

[PCI USB adapter card is an add-on adapter card ]

Line the card up in the PCI slot. Note that there is a Locating Lug in the PCI slot, and a matching Locating Notch, on the PCI USB adapter card.

Also, at the same time line up the metal bracket of the PCI USB adapter card, with the metal framework of the computer case at the back.

Gently push the PCI USB adapter card down into the PCI slot.
Fasten the card's metal bracket to the computer's metal framework.

Post the computer manufacturer name, and model number, if you need guidance in opening the computer case. Post in a Comment.

Laptop battery is not charging

Hi, this information represents a basic troubleshooting guideline. Refer to your user guide for specific charging and connection instructions. Manuals may be available online in the Support Web site of HP.

Remove the battery from the computer.
Confirm the battery contacts are free of any foreign material that may prevent charging.
Reinsert the battery into the computer.
Verify that the AC adapter cord is properly connected and plugged directly into a known working AC power outlet.

NOTE: If the battery charges correctly when the AC adapter is plugged directly into an AC power outlet, but not when plugged into a power strip or surge protector, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the computer battery or AC adapter.

Verify the correct AC adapter is being used.
Ensure the AC adapter box power light is on. This will be an illuminated green light.
If the AC adapter power light is not on, the AC adapter and power cord will need to be replaced.
Verify the charging indicator is illuminated on the computer.
If the issue still exists, install a different compatible HP battery, if available.

NOTE: If a replacement battery charges and operates correctly, the problem is with the first battery.

If neither the original nor a replacement battery charges, service may be required for the computer.

Electricity spike computer wont start , AC adapter short circuit, computer computer crashed unable to power up is motherboard dead,is it possible to have computer checked out.

Some times the AC adapter and battery dies and saves your laptop motherboard.

Follow the following steps to check once again.
Remove the battery and the defective adapter and check if you can borrow a known good working adapter and see if your system works / turns on just by connecting the power adapter and turning it on (without the battery) if it works then repeat the check with the battery on.

If both the test works then your adapter is the only issue, get it replaced.
If both fails, you have to replace or service your motherboard.

I have a toshiba satellite A200 ,it works with batery but when i put the adapter of the ps ,the sceen becomes black and it will shut down ,so please help me

Sounds like you have a short somewhere: either inside your laptop or possibly the power adapter itself. The cheapest and easiest way to figure out which is causing the problem would be to take your laptop to a local computer shop and ask them if they have an adapter that's compatible with your laptop, then try the adapter with the battery in & out of your laptop. If it doesn't shut down, then I would say that your power adapter is shorting out and causing the problems. If it still has problems when using a different power adapter then I would say that there's something going on inside your laptop that is causing the problem. Many times it's because the female power jack on the motherboard needs to be replaced. There are several other things that would cause this to happen too, but what I've told you so far is the usual problem and solution - in my experience.

Dell XPS 1530 wont power on at all..

Troubleshooting is pretty simple.
  1. Try a different Dell 90W or larger D/E-Series AC adapter and see if the system gets power. If no known good AC adapter is available, then check output voltage of AC adapter (Should be about 19VDC or so) If you can't do either, then the AC adapter is still the cheapest item to replace for a no power issue.
  2. If system will not power on with a known good AC adapter or new one, then the motherboard is the likely failure point. Roughly $150 on Ebay

Toshiba a100 not starting on

Try removing the battery, and AC power, and pressing the power button down for about 15-20 seconds, and then try powering on the computer with just the AC power plugged in (no battery installed). If this works then the battery may be shot, and would need to be replaced (if you can find a suitable replacement). If it doesn't, then I would advise bringing the unit to an authorized service center to have the AC Adapter tested with a voltmeter (unless you happen to have one). The power adapter should give off a voltage of approximately 19V. If it's not, then you may simply have to replace the power adapter, either with one specifically for your model of laptop, or with a Universal AC Adapter (and you will probably need a rating of at least 75W, 90W would be optimal). If the power adapter tests okay though, then it most likely is the power coupling (the hole where your adapter plugs into. Repairs to those can usually range anywhere between $150-$300 USD for parts and labour). Hope this gives you enough information to work with, and hopefully gets your issue resolved!

Acer 5920-6474 does not power on

the problem lies with failed smd capacitors grounding out underneath the motherboard on the same side of the board as the cpu heatsink. if you look at the board with the heatsink/fan in the top right hand corner- the culprit caps are in the bottom right hand region under some see through plastic. they are labeled pc144 and pc145.

Being that it's new it's probably still covered under warranty. Sounds like the motherboard is the suspect.

External Power on Dell 4150

It could be an issue with the power cord, it it could be an issue with the computer accepting the charge. The only way to test is to get another power cord that matches the exact same one you have, or to find a univeral power cord that is compatible and see if it will use the external power this way.
