Question about Washing Machines

2 Answers

Water temperature Whilst in the process of having a shower, there was a power cut. Since then, my Triton Spellbind shower's temperature can only reach a max of 33 deg.C, which is far too cold in the mornings for showers. Has anyone encountered this problem before and if so, please help.

I just had to reply to anyone using the word 'Whilst!' I know nothing of the Triton Spellbind. Sorry, I've never seen one. Sounds like an electronic temperature control. If that's the case, bad things can sometimes happen if power is removed during normal operations.

    Good luck!

Did you need to replace the entire unit?

Thanks for trying Bromikl. I'm actually surprised you didn't mention why I had logged this query in "washers" instead! And before you ask....there wasn't a topic headed 'Showers' so I picked the closest to it!!!

Hey! but if "Whilst" does it for you, I was glad to help!

Where is the temperature sensor on a samung washing machine wf8702rsw?

Such sensors are usually located in the water input assembly where the water is mixed and the computer adjust how far the valves are open for desired water temps. Like adjusting the water valves in the shower for a desired water temp.

I am having a problem with my Whirlpool AWO/D 43135 washing machine. It stops when starting any program and shows error code F23.What should I do?

The fault F23 could be linked to the water temperature not reaching the right temperature. If your model uses hot water inlet connection then check if your hot water unit is providing the correct inlet water temperature. Otherwise it is likely the temperature sensor or heater element maybe failing.
See description
If the temperature increase during the first 40 minutes is less than 86degF (30degC).
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Check connection to water heater.
3. Check resistance of heating element, if present on this model. (abnormal = infinity)
4. Check the water temperature sensor and connection to it.

I have just taken delivery of a Hotpoint Whirlpool washing machine today. Please explain how on a 30 min cycle the water can be warm when it is cold fill only

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Sorry but I'm not certain that I understand your question ;-0(
Maybe if I explain- 'cold fill only' means exactly that; the washer has only one hose and is connected to one cold supply to fill and then the washer will heat the water up to the selected temperature of the wash. The description does not mean that it washes in cold water only.
In the case of a hot and cold fill, the washer would open the hot inlet until the correct temperature is reached and then would continue filling to the right level with a mix of hot and cold water whilst maintaining the temperature. Cold is then used for rinses in all cases as far as I am aware, including yours ;-0)
I sincerely hope that I have not totally misunderstood your question. If I have I apologize.

If this has answered you question please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck.

Water temperature fluctuates between scalding and freezing

The mixer valve has a torn seal. You'll need to remove the spool.

With the sppol in-hand... and hardware store can hook you up with a replacement.

Hydrogenerated Ignition

The Hydrogenerated ignition system (patented by Bosch) has been in use since 2003. Basically the running water goes through a small turbine to generate the spark needed to ignite the burners. No pilot, no external electrical source for ignition, saves energy.

Your second question doesn't have a simple answer. It depends on the incoming water temperature and the flow level for your showers. If you live in a cold weather climate, where pipes can freeze, probably not. If you live in a moderate climate and use low-flow shower heads, this will probably work for you.
