Epson 9600 splatering black ink on images mostly on the right side

there are only 4 colors in a printer one of which is black
grey is very light spray of black
to get the spectrum of colors one of the mix is black
check the printer head for black and is there enough black ink in the cartridge

Chances are high that the process of clearing the jam has resulted in ink being released from the cleaning/resting pad area based over on the right hand side (where the printhead sits when not in use).
This waste ink has probable come into contact with the rollers and other parts over on the right edge of the paper.
You'll probably see this ink slowly fade out and disappear over time. If it doesn't however there's something effectively feeding things so check the resting pad for a loose tube, overflow, puddles, etc...
If there's anything like that, report back (preferably with images).

The problem solved by "switching off" the Digital Signature.
Since the driver from Epson was safe it was allright and safe to do that...

Sounds like you have to change the black ink from photo black to matt black

If this is a color printer, then you cannot use it without the "Black" cartridge.

Most printer manufacturers will pull from the "Black" ink to print black on color images. They do this to save on creating a "processed black" from the color inks.

Just curious, are you using a "CMYK" system? (Cyan, Magenta,Yellow and Black inks)

That happens to me as well I'm using epson R230x pigment ink. At first yellow does'nt come out. and fixing the yellow by pumping it with a solution and putting everything back ALL HEADS ARE NOT PRINTING ANYMORE....

Try doing a printer head alignment, sounds like the printer heads are overlapping causing the banding.
Screen colors also never match perfectly to the print either, whist your monitor can produce millions of colors, the printer can only do some many.

Probably dried ink has it stuck in the carrier. Try using an eyedropper and dripping some alcohol along the edges, and repeat periodically several times to let it soak in and loosen the ink, overnight should do it, then try again to press the release tab and wiggle the cartridge firmly until it lifts out.

The Agfa Sherpa is not manufactured by Epson. Both Epson and Agfa buy and retag their printers from Mutoh.
I do not know if the 44 is the same as Epson 7600 or 9600, but it should fit the same cartridges.

If the printer does not accept the cartridges, that means that there is something different in the software stored in the Epson cartridge chip.

In this case you will be only able to use only Agfa or Mutoh Falcon cartridges.
