Question about Nintendo Wii Console

1 Answer

Controllers not registering

The controllers are now not working/registering on the Wii. I have tried re-syncronizing them and even tried my console on a friends set up thinking it might be the sensor bar. Nothing seems to work. The console turns on and gets to the main menu and seems fine. It just seems not to recognising the controllers.
Please help, I have an eight year old who is frantic he can't get his fix of Lego Star Wars.
Many thanks

I have exactly the same problem...the console hasn't dropped or worked and then the next day, they're not registering. Can anyone help? I have kids that are frantic, as well.

There are known issues regarding Wii controllers.
When attempting to syncronise the controllers. theres a switch located underneath the Battery compartment, use this to sync the controllers.

Our remotes do not seem to be connecting with wii console. I have tried syncronizing the remotes with console but this does not seem to have helped. Would you have any suggestions?

I would suggest if you hadn't tried syncing them by holding the red buttons on the console and the controllers at the same time for at least 15 seconds, then it should work. Hope that helps.

Wii will turn on but controllers don't seem to connect to system. Bought a new sensor and still nothing

Your Wii-motes need to be syncronized to the Wii. Take the battery covers off of the remotes and open the compartment that you put a portable SD card into. Click the sync button on the Wii and then on the remotes and they should sync up easily.

Wii controller will not sync with Wii console

Have you tried the new controller method? It consists of pressing the red button behind the wii console and then pressing the 1 and 2 buttons simultaneously.

Wii and Gamecube controllers do not work for Wii

Perhaps this is a stupid question, but have you synced your controllers lately?

Open the little drop over under the disk tray (the place where you put the SD card) and press and hold the red button in there, open the battery cover for the wiimote and press and hold that little red button. Wait till both the controller and the system respond. Basically, they have to find eachother again.

I hope this helps.

I think you need to register the wii controller to the wii because sometimes the PS3 when you buy another controller you have to register the device to the Ps3 before you can play so i think the Wii may have the same controller registeration. So if it doesn't work try using the controller you 1st got from the box because in order to use the controllers it has to be registered hope it helped.

None of 4 controllers will work

i hope this resolves your Problem.
Remove the Controllers Batterys, and you,ll find a small Switch/Button.
This should enable you to Syncronize the Controllers.
