Talked to Cuisinart tech support and they told me to unplug and leave it for 2 hours... that resets it to the factory defaults.
It looks like a thermal fuse might have blown inside your appliance.
If a thermal fuse has failed, there is probably another problem inside.
If the appliance is 4 months old, still cover under manufacturers warranty, Call the Cuisinart customer service to ask them where to find an authorized service center.
Hope this works for you.

Can you check if there is a blown fuse there? kindly please check also the power cable because if the outlet is fine, power might not be going to your machine because of the faulty power cable.

was there any power shortage before your machine started like this?

First thing to consider if you are going to try to fix it is to leave it unplugged for 12-24 hours and try again. After that it is time to take it apart! Just try to get to the circuitry and look for burnt components, broken connections, or burnt fuses. It may be possible to repair by simply re-soldering something. If nothing seams out of place then it might be a burnt out IC which would be very hard to diagnose and replace. I would consider replacing the unit if it comes to that unfortunately. Good Luck!

DCC-1200 leaks coffee onto carafe and warmer plate

My coffee pot was leaking over the carafe and onto the warmer. I found that this issue was caused by the carafe lid. The lid was not allowing coffee to flow into the pot fast enough. I removed the inner mechanism from the carafe lid (it pops off really easily) and just sit the lid on top of the pot while brewing, and no more leaks! After brewing, I put the mechanism back onto the lid and twist lid onto the pot.

Leaks while brewing does not drain into pot fast enough

Usually you would need a new filter basket for that, which you can get from the manufacturer. However, I was just recently informed by someone w/ a very similar issue that running vinegar and water through the unit may help that as well. But if that doesn't work, definitely contact the manufacturer about getting a new brew basket (800-726-0190), because I've often found that it's the gasket within the spring mechanism at the bottom that is weakening and pinching shut when it heats up.

Clean the pot by brewing a full pot of undiluted vinegar, then rinsing it by brewing 2 full pots of water through it. Also, change the charcoal filter on a regular basis. We clean the pot this way every month and replace the filter every 2 months.

The power cord is hot but no lights or clock, nothing works.

ok " un plug coffee pot, if you take the base apart you will find the wiring, follow wiring to a round disk on the heating tube ,
that disk is a heat sensor , replace that sensor .

any appliance parts store will have them

sensor is bi-metal on the inside when it gets too hot it shuts power down.
