Troubleshoot Sandisk SD micro CHip

I downloaded a new game on my Sandisk Micro SD chip and when I placed it in my nintendo Ds it wouldn't work. So I put the chip in the usb drive to open up folder (i think I used up all the storage space thats why its not working)..the problem is I CAN'T OPEN the folder.
It says I need to 'format' it. I click on yes, then it starts formatting then afterwards it'll say "format was unable to complete"....Whats going??!

I can't access through the folder were all my games are.

yeah I tried it doesn't work. I downloaded a "formatter" and it says my sd micro chip is 'write protected' and I need to switch it off- I place the chip in the adaptor to turn it off...I dont know what happened..probably slotting it in and out because later on the laptop wasn't "reading" the sd adaptor...so I took the sd micro chip back in the usb thinking the 'write-protected' was switched off...BUT its not reading the usb (with my micro chip inside).....I think I completed damaged it...

    Any solution anyone?..

Click Start>Control Panel>Administrative tools>Computer Management>Disk Management

Then find your SD card, right click it, and select "Format...". If that doesn't work, then try formatting it on another computer.

You sound like a smart person, so I am guessing that I don't have to tell you to look for a little switch on the card that says Write Protect-->? I don't really know what to say though, I think you are right, you may have permanently damaged it, or it could be that the manufacturer didn't make it right, shortening the life of the flash memory chip inside.

Once you plug the mini sd card into the usb device and plug the usb device into your computer it should show up as a hard drive in your My Computer area. If not you may have to initialize the hard drive.

Good Luck,

Your best bet is to contact the vendor you purchased it from first, and many are good about replacements in the first 12 months. If that doesn't pan out, contact SanDisk directly at 1-866-726-3475 .

Sandisk cruzer micro 2gb not detected

You only need to use disk management !!
for Win_XP:
Right click 'My Computer'.
Choose 'Manage'
In the left pane, under 'Storage', Choose: 'Disk Management'.
When device is connected it will appear as: 'Disk xx - Removable'.
It should be not allocated (Black Line), so you only need to created a new partition and format it.
Good Luck !! :-)
