The incoming line is a land line, which is shared. Whenever the phone rings, you may say a few words, then the fax kicks in and cancel the caller. It seems like an easy fix. Please advise Thanxs.

HP 3050 Laser Jet: I can receive faxes but can not send fax? Help

Hello !
You need to reset fax settings first, go to the "Service" under the printers Main Menu and click on "Restore Defaults"
And then set the following settings under Fax Setup > Fax Receive Setup :

Answer Mode: Automatic
Rings to Answer: 2
Distictive Ring: All Rings

Now go to "All faxes" and change this settings:

Error correction : OFF
Fax Speed: Medium v.17

If you are using a digital line it would be a good idea installing a filter for the line

Hope this works

Hp 3050 laser jet printer the fax page is black

The scanner in your FAX is nothing working -- i.e., "100%-black" or "100%-white", and so what is transmitted is what the scanner has scanned, improperly.

Make sure the rollers that pull the paper through are clean and that the glass is also clean. Clean the rollers with a cloth dampened with alcohol.
