I have error 1200 on my lexmark x4270 fax machine after installing new black cartridge.


The 1200 error code indicates that the cartridge carrier has stalled. It could be due to the new black cartridge installed in the printer. Make sure you are using the correct version of black cartridge for your model and it's properly inserted in the cartridge carrier.
To remedy the problem, try to remove the black cartridge from the carrier > close the cover > unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it > when the printer turns on, re-insert the new black cartridge > check for any errors. We are not able to send faxes,the error message is 1200. The reference number for the fax is x4270.

Printer keeps popping up Error 1200 on The lexmark x4270

Carrier Stall is the error


Hi,
Please do the following..

To check the cartridge carrier:
  1. Unplug the printer.
  2. Move the cartridges to the left by hand and then take them out.
  3. Try to print without the cartridges in the carrier. Do you still receive a Carrier Stall error message?
  4. If not, put the cartridges back into the carrier and snap them in at the back. The message should no longer appear.
If the power light on the printer is not blinking, the error message may be caused by a communication error. Do the following:
  1. Remove any other devices attached to the USB/LPT port.
  2. Uninstall the Lexmark printer.
  3. Connect the printer directly to the PC and ensure that power is being supplied to the printer.
  4. Reinstall the printer.

Cartridge stall


I have a lexmark x5150 printer, scanner, copier, and fax machine. I keep getting the message: hardware error 0502. The cartridges are stalled on the left side and the printer won't do anything. Can someone help me??
