Control Board Did you mean that I should consider replacing the control board?

  • Killerjoe_UK Mar 16, 2008

Have swapped boards between top unit and bottom - no change in fault

Have removed totally the bottom motor, heating element, stator, pipes etc checked for blockages none....but slight improvement in flow of water when reassembled, presumably due to being cleaned out)

So the fault remains: Still seems to have reduced water inflow which after a few minutes sets off the "Fill Fault" trip

Any further assistance appreciated from all quarters....

    Thanks

You should be checking the water valves first, if the water valves are not getting voltage to open then it would be the control

I have a front loader frigidaire washer and shows a code ESE... what does the code mean?

This is a communication error between the machine control board and the motor control board. The actual error is E5E not ESE. Anyways, there isn't a way to test between the two parts to see which is faulty so check the wiring plugs on the motor control board and make sure they are secure, if so then replace the motor control board. If that doesn't correct it, then replace the machine control board. From experience, 90% of the time the motor control board is the part at fault

On Whirlpool duet steam front loading DRYER...What does the error code F70 mean?Do you have to have a certified whirlpool appliance service professional to repair?

F70 code says...
Replace the machine control electronics. You should first unplug the machine and then remove and plug back in all connectors on the front panel model as well as the electronic control module.

If that doesn't take care of the problem then it may be time to consider replacing the rear board. The FSP # 8183259

The control board is part # 14 in the link below.

My kenmore elite calypso will not do final spin.flashes LD. I replace the pump as was suggested, still did not fix froblem

Hello Alex;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

After review of your washer components, there is a strong possibility that you have a bad electronic control board. You have two control boards, one is for the motor and one for the other functions.

25306051-b3edjqs4ufvbcqfi2v1m52kl-2-0.jpg

Washer electronic control board for Kenmore Elite Washer model #11021062001 Electronic control board 8571359 is the circuit board that manages the washer's functions, such as filling, washing, draining and spinning. It sends voltage to the drive motor and other electro-mechanical component.

Cost: $218.00

If you elect to replace the board make sure you ground yourself by rubbing your hands on something that is bare steel. Static electricity will knock a board out.

All appliances with electric control boards should have a surge protector. You can purchase a wall socket surge protector for $20-25.00. It is a good investment considering how expensive control boards are.

Rule of thumb; "If the unit is either 7 years old or the cost of repair is 1/3 or more of the original price, purchase a new unit.

Consider it purchasing a new unit, stripping your existing unit for parts to sell on e-bay. You will make a little money and save others expensive parts cost.

Frigidaire fafw3801lw3 gives an e5e code

Good Morning Eric, this is JK. I understand that you are receiving error E5E on your dishwasher. It appears the error code you are receiving indicates there may be a communication problem. Check the wiring between the Main Control Board and the Speed Control Board. If you find the wiring is good, you may need to replace the Main Control Board. If the problem is not corrected, consider replacing the Speed Control Board. Hope this helps!

Electrolux time manager 7kg washing machine keeps stopping mid cycle and has an error code E94

E94 means: "Console control problem. Replace control board."
However fault codes are not absolutes. They simply tell a service person where to look for a problem. For example, if i was a service man and i had a control board like yours on the truck i would switch it out first to see if it solved the problem. If it did i would charge you for the part and labor and be on my way, even if it was just a loose wire or connector that was causing the problem. Or if i was a washer warranty rep and the machine was under warranty and you said you were getting an E94 fault code i'd ship you a control board and consider the problem solved.
I am not a service man or a warranty rep so my advice is to wiggle the wires going to the control board. Also, disconnect then reconnect any plastic conectors you see. Let me know.

I have a Frigidaire front loader. Model ATF6000ES1. We got error code 23. The tech manual in the machine said it's the pump relay. Check wiring or replace control board. We checked the wiring to the...

An E23 error code on your Frigidaire Washer indicates a failure of the drain pump relay. Depending upon the model, your washer may be under warranty for up to 25 years, so check your warranty's status before attempting any repairs yourself.

Yor previous diagnostic its right; are you replace the control board... OK (other cases need replace it two times). Are you check the pump relay and wires, and this its OK, good.

Are you check and clean internally the pump and filter? So try cleaning it yourself, it is easy even with basic skill. You will need a star screwdriver, a scare-screw driver, pliers.

Remember, better have the machine empty before doing anything, because you'll be working on the drain line.

Hope this helps.

My HE2 front loader dryer flashes f22 and stops. A repair man has replaced the thermistor twice, but it is still flashing the same error.

This means the outlet thermistor, the one on the blower housing, is open. But since the thermistor has been replaced twice and the error code still flashes (make sure it is cleared after the replacement by pressing STOP twice), the wire harness (including the connectors) connecting it to the electronic control board is cut open or the electronic control board itself is faulty and not detecting the thermistor connected.

Check the connections and the continuity of the wire harness and replace or repair it if found cut open. Consider a faulty electronic control board if the wire harness and the connectors are intact and the thermistor is known to be 100% good. Normal thermistor resistance is around 8500 ohms to 13500 ohms at room temperature (27-21 degrees centigrade).

Code F- Won't spin

Hi, it means you have an internal short in the display control board. You'll need to order and replace the relay control board in order to correct the issue. This control board is located on the far right corner under the control panel. Below is a link to the control board you'll need to order and replace. Click HERE.....

Washing machine error code on Frigidaire ATF6000E

I think I figured this one out. I think it means that the washer is not able to drain, therefore it won't spin either. Underneath the washer is a series of outlet hoses and within one of them is a filter. When I finally found the filter it was clogged up with lint, fibers from a pillow and coins. You have to dig the filter out and then clean the filter and rehook up the hoses, this was relatively simple even for me. The washer works perfectly now.
