Getting midi to register

I just started getting into using the US-122 with recording audio and it works great. Now I want to use it with my midi system but I'm having trouble getting it to register.
I have a JV1080 that is hooked up to my keyboard (a roland A-30 midi keyboard controller and roland speakers. I also have a mackie 1604 mixer that I'd like to use.
Could you help with getting it hooked up properly?  Right now the keyboard is hooked up to the JV1080 and works but I'm not sure the right way to connect the US-122 to the keyboard should it go through the keyboard or thorugh the JV1080?   Much appreciated.

I have the Tascam US-122 and a keyboard (Korg M3) and I hook the keyboard up directly to the Tascam (via MIDI cables). I'm not familiar with the JV1080 - is it a mixer? is it a MIDI device? I think you'll run into problems if you try to use MIDI software if you hook the keyboard to the JV and then the Tascam, because your software may not pick up the midi signal. If it's just audio you're worried about, it's simple: if you have yoru keyboard hooked to the JV, get a male-male jack and plug one end to the "headset" or "output" jack of your JV and the other end to any of the "inputs" of your Tascam. And of course plug the USB cable to the computer.

Your question is very confusing. Try rephrasing it. You should try drawing a diagram with this and uploading it to your question to better explain yourself. If you can't upload it (I know I can through the answer, but I'm not so sure about the question) you can e-mail it to me. My address is , if not just put some more detail into the question and try rephrasing it. I'm not really sure about the details of your system.

I have window 7 with 128 bit processor and have the us-122 tascam, the software won't load on my new computer but worked great on my widowns 98

There is no driver for Win 7 but you can try the Vista 32 / 64 depending on your Win 7 bit.go to this LINK and find the Vista 32 / 64 driver.

US 122/M-Audio 61ES/Nuendo4

is there another soundcard installed in the pc? it seems that your tascam unit does not contain a midi bank, so you prolly have a midi device built into the stock soundcard.  you must amplify that soundcards output to be able to hear the midi.

Problems recording with Tascam us-122

you dont say what program you are using to record on. If it's cubase sx it's the fault of the program not the soundcard. Contact cubase and they will give you the fix
