Question about Gateway 7320GZ Notebook

Gateway 7320GZ Notebook

Could someone please tell me where to find a repair manual for a Gateway 7320GZ. I've looked everywhere. I'm on disability so I can't afford to have it fixed. I used to fix PCs and laptops so I'm very comfortable fixing it myself. Better off to have the manual though. Can anyone help? It's my wife's and she's lost without it.

Jeffrey Pemberton Mar 12, 2008 is obviously first place I looked. I'm sorry If I didn't make it clear that I'm not new at this. I need a repair/service manual not a user manual. I have that. Thanks.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Gateway 7320GZ works perfect for a few days then wont turn on ,dead everything , then after a day or so works good again. Has done this a few times now. motherboard?

I have pondered this situation for a bit and really am kinda stumped! Usually, things work or they don't. I would suggest that you check for a hardware diagnostic program in your computer, such as Dr Watson. I have included a link to the gateway support page for your notebook.

If you know the manufacturer of your hard drive, you can go to the manufacturer site and look for download link and find the hard drive diagnostic program that most manufacturers offer to check their hard drive functioning.

You can also chat with a gateway technician and they may have some idea about this issue if they have had this complaint before.

I am sorry I could not be more specific.

Problem with the screem

It may be a bad inverter but it probably will have to have a new screen.

System Recovery Problem

Phillynoy was right on! I have been fighting with the recovery and restoration hanging. When I read Phillynoy's comment about the optimal speed setting, I called Gateway. The tech said she would be glad to tell me how to change those settings for $59 tech fee (first 30 minutes). So I decided to look in the bios and there it was under Advanced. Change to disable the optimal speed and the computer has finally completed the installation! Praise God!
