did you ever get a solution to your problem. I have the same thing only mine runs for 2-2.5hrs like clockwork then it happens. Tonight I placed a fan behind it and watched for 4-5hrs with no problem. I will have to check for fan issues, what did you do to fix yours.

You may want to get it in a rather warm room and or remove rear cover and use a hairdryer to warm everything up inside the Cabinet--with rear cover off look to see if the fans are dirty etc and if they all come on, if a DLP especially look at the lamp itself and the fan that cools it.

My Mitsubishi WD-62825 says the air flow is blocked and will shut down in 1 minute?

Hi... To response to your problem... Check if your fan cooler is working at the back panel... The Lamp need air to cool down,
Never touch the lamp with your bare hand.. take a dry cloth if you have to change it.

That's probably the Color Wheel you are hearing. When you turn the set on the color wheel has to run, one of the several things that has to happen for the set to come on. The color wheel sends a signal back to the control circuit to tell it it's running. If these sets fail to light the lamp they will shut off and try again, that's why you hear the color wheel start then wind down then start again. The set should try three times before it decides it's not going to be able to turn on.

One way you can tell the difference in the fan sound and color wheel sound is if you can get the set on, let it run for a little while so it gets warm, then when you turn it off the color wheel will start winding down but the fans will continue to run for a minute or two.

Mitsubishi DLP overheating

Mitsubishi has problems with the thermal sensor going bad. They extended the warranty for several sets. The sensor is right by the lamp. Call mitsubishi and insist they do something for you. If you keep playing your set, the bulb could also be at risk. I would think your set is covered being a 62" set. Good-luck and be sure to act ASAP.

Push the menu button when the problem shows up again. Please tell me if the flashes show up in the displays as well on the menus. I can take it from there.
