I think you meant that its print and copy function is generating only blank sheets and that you have installed new drivers and new ink. You do not mention whether you tested the printer before making these changes. There are several possiblities such as clogged nozzels, incorrect paper size, or the cartidges not being locked into place. Have you tried activating the printer's cleaning cycle which might unclog nozzels?
The most immediate fix would be to turn it off via the power button, disconnect all cable including unplugging it was the power outlet, wait three minutes, reconnect the cabling and connection to the outlet. Fire it up and try printing a test page.
Epson has a Troubleshooting page where it requests the model number in order to make targeted suggestions. https://epson.com/support/wa00903a
I had huge issues with my TM-U220. It does not play well with a Centronix-to-USB cable or with Windows 64-bit. I played for AGES to try and get it all to work.
I installed the USB device driver[1] I was able to print the Test Page proving that the connection between Windows and the printer sort of worked, but when I tried printing anything from Unicenta POS, it always failed.
I finally bought a new Centronix-to-USB and a new parallel port card, used Windows 32-bit, and problem solved.
You need to reset the board, all dot matrix have some kind of a chip set as well that mostly can be remove. Just make sure you are grounded, its a last resort that I normally do for dot matrix that can't seems to stop printing or the panel are always lights on.
Check the communication cable , disconnect the cable from both the end and then reconnect the cable properly after that print not coming out then uninstall the driver and restart the system and after restarting the system then reinstall the driver properly and then restart the system again after restart check , if after doing all these things if print not coming then change the communication cable with a new one and after changing then check
use the com1, and use a baud rate like 9600, with 8 and 1 bit stop. dont. be sure that is in ESC/P or IBM as you requiered. if your software use directly the serial port, be sure that the bios set up is properly. i think that the lx300+ have less buffer than lx300+2 and if you use high speed, could loose info.
Hi, you may want to reset/restore the Epson LX300 to default settings. This can be done by pressing down on the FONT button while powering on the printer. If done right the LX300 will print a test page with the firmware version.
It is also possible that the drivers are corrupted. In Start, Printers & Faxes, delete the LX300 printer, restart your PC and then re-install via Add Printer.
In some cases, defective parallel cable can also cause problems. Unfortunately the only sure way of checking is by replacing the printer/parallel cable with a known good/operation cable.
If the printer would really be requiring service, a Service Manual is available at (http://www.eserviceinfo.com/index.php?what=search2&searchstring=DPA-300)
Hope this be of some help to you. Good luck and pls post again how things turn up.
