no sound for tv, do have sound for tuner. probably an input problem but manual is not helpful. we selected cable-auto with 6ch surround sound. i dunno if this is the exact same model number, bought new 3 yrs ago now, i think.

Same problem -- main speakers okay, nothing from center or rears, no matter what the audio source. I think that I have set up everything correctly.

If you receive a stereo signal, 5.1 stereo should always be possible. Let me know if you have further problems. Good luck. GURU JAY

The signal that comes from most tv's via the optical output is a stereo signal only. That is what your receiver is reading. You would have to manually set your receiver to decode the signal into surround,.

Please don't panic and think that there is anything wrong with your Yamaha receiver. A lot of people are having this problem with set top box reception. Time lag / phase differences caused by satellite transmission can make your Receivers digital decoders go nuts !!!.The working principal is too complex to explain on this page. I have had clients call up and say on some channels only one speaker works in a 5.1 setup !!!!.You noticed DD and DTS signals are working fine.

I am installing yamaha 565 amplifire i can not heard soud of lead actor supportin actors voice is coming properly kindly help me as soon as possible

This would most likely be a failure of the center channel ort speaker. Did you set up your speaker complement according to the manual including the test tones and volume adjustments?

My right main channel does not work on my yamaha HTR 5650

Hello

If the amp is out of warrenty period, open it up and follow the path from the mute channel on the circuit board. You should see if the capasitors on that path is done(Blown). You can fix this yourself if you know how, otherwise take it to a repair shop will be a cheap fix.

Otherwize check the ic on that channel. Hope this an help you.

Best regards

TV Audio out to HRT 5650 receiver

You may need to enable the fixed audio output line level from the TV. Some TV`s require you to enter the AUDIO menu/setup selection on the TV remote controller, and then enable the AUDIO OUTPUT Jacks, this will turn off the TV built in speakers and engage the audio RCA Jacks.
