my coby mp 605 tranfers and is on on computer but does not turn on to use
Problem for Coby MP-C7085 1 GB MP3 Player
Coby MP-C7095 Won't turn on
I just bought a coby mp3 player and I charged it for approx 6 hours and it won't turn on when i hold the start button. I have a mac with osx 10.5 I plug it in to the usb and it shows it charging on the screen of the mp3 player. When do you know it's fully charged?

it woulnt work on the go but if you have something to charge it with and the coby wont turn on here is the soulition charge it all ou have to do is really 1 second it doesnt matter if you charge it than turn it on itll go right on :)

The battery symbol will read full and stop cycling from empty to full. Make sure the lock switch is NOT in the Lock position. Slide it to the UNLOCK position, then press the power button. Mine was shipped in teh LOCK position and until I UNLOCKED it, it would just keep powering down right after it briefly powered on.

my cobe had a very low battery and when i plugged it in it was charging and then i restarted my computer and now my mp3 won't turn on.

when you see a battery bar on the top right hand side corner that says 3 bars or 4 it means it is fully charged and dont charge it to long like 6 hr just 4 hr

Thanks! I too am having NO LUCK charging this thing and then getting it to power up. Has anyone figured this out yet? It is BRAND new.

I have the same problem my coby player do not turn on ...its only turns on when charging and I press the reset button, after charging power button do not work but it still remains in ON position and discharge aftre 10-15 min play only..battery life is tooooooooooooooo low

How do I know when the charge is complete? Also mine only keeps the charge for a couple of days, even when not in use.

I have exactly the same problem. When I connect the Coby MP-C7095 to my laptop via USB connection the unit registers as being at full power (full battery in top right hand corner). I have even tried syncing music from my Toshiba laptop's Windows Media player to the unit, where it theoretically has copied over the files. When unplugged though, the unit will not turn, no matter how long I hold down the power button. Changing the "lock" position has no effect. Pressing the Reset button on the back of the unit has no effect either.
