Your video card may be going bad. If it's not a laptop check to make sure the fan on the video card is functioning and properly cooling.
Try blowing cool air on the video card and see if the picture improves.

You cable modem may have a reset, look for a small hole on the back or bottom and use a paperclip to press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds. This will reset the unit to factory defaults.

Is your videocard onboard?? if its is, well theres something wrong with your motherboard especially on the video side, but if its not onboard, well try to check your videocard (its driver).

a general cleaning of your pc will do, and try to use an eraser to clean the pins of the videocard.

also check your monitor, if you have a spare pc, try to use that monitor and check if its ok.

as for your ethernet cable modem, try to check if your modem works properly (like power). and install the proper drivers for the modem.

I have problem with the blue screen of Death after playing some games, like Crysis 2,Fear 3,Street Fighter After i apply the 275.33 drivers.

A Blue screen of death is cryptic however has quite of bit of information about the cause if you know how to read it. However the BSOD is caused by a program or driver crash or a misbehaved program that tries to write to memory that is not supposed to which was denoted in early versions of Windows by the General Protection Fault screen another more rare cause of the BSOD is a hardware failure. You might be running to many programs at the time you are playing or running another program or you might not have enough computer RAM so it would be putting to much strain on your CPU central processing unit
Make sure your RAM is securely seated
click start right click on my computer select properties you will see all information about your computer including installed ram
if you get the message of a driver or hardware problem

try uninstalling a few unnecessary programs also scroll to the bottom of your screen toolbar right click select task manager applications & processes you will see what is running if you see something you dont need running select end now

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your "((MOTHERBOARD TO YOUR HARD DRIVE))" make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error even something as small as a faulty electrical extension or fan lead can cause you problems
if your computer came with a motherboard disc the drivers could be on it
click start control panel administrive tools ,computer management device manager look through all of your devices if you see a yellow question exclamation mark ? ! or red X right click to reinstall drivers hope this helps

Hi and Welcome to Fixya,

When there is no video after you hit start recording then go ahead and disconnect your dazzle device to your computer and then connect it back to another usb port. Go to your control panel, system, hardware, device manager and then sound video and games controller look for dazzle device video driver right click uninstall restart your computer afterwards. go back and open Instant DVD Recorder and choose the advance mode. On step number 1 select capture source then select your dazzle device. Hello, i´m trying to connect my pc to the tv 42" philips and i cant get it on...i see my tv in nvidia control panel but i dont know what to do, i have tried everything...but ofc not everything...lolo

Assuming a Windows OS, right click on your desktop (any place without an icon). Alternatively, use the Control Panel to get to the Display Properties. Go to the Settings tab in the Display Properties window. There you should find all the monitors available listed. Your TV will probably be listed as an inactive monitor. You need to make it an active monitor and probably will need to reboot before the computer can use the new monitor.

Also make sure that the TV has been set to see the picture sent from the computer. (Scrolling through the list of picture sources can be an issue.)

I hope this helps.

Compaq's are notoriously under powered. You should take a look at the power rating on your power supply, then cheque the necessary voltage for the card. Also make sure that the card doesn't have an extra power connection that you need to fill to make it work.

No picture on tv

Move your mouse over to a empty part of the desktop and press the right mouse button. Select properties.

Make sure that your tv is connected to the computer, that it is turned on, and that it is set for line input on that device.

Select the settings tab. You should see this box appear.

f931159.jpg
Monitor one is your computer monitor. Monitor 2 is your tv. It should be greyed out. If you move the mouse over to 2 and press the right mouse button make sure the attached is checked off. If not do this right now.

You may have to click on monitor two as well and select the advanced button on this screen. Then look in the settings to turn the tv on (this happens with ATI cards, NVidia cards may have a similar setting as well). Once it is turned on and you hit apply the picture should come on the screen. If you check off extend windows desktop onto this monitor, you will only see the desktop without any icons. Make sure that feature is disabled when you use monitor 2 (by default it is).

This should keep you busy to get it to work. Let me know if you need anymore assistance on this.

Yes, they both will act independently if you choose to use it that way or they will show the same picture, one is a DVI output and the other is VGA. Use the ATI’s CATALYST software suite provides the ultimate software required to enjoy the full acceleration of your ATI Graphics Accelerator card. You can use it to separate your Primary video from your Secondary video.
