Re: whirlpool silent partner 1 model du1055xtps
Possible you have abad door latch switch. open the door you should be able to "trip the swithc by inserting a small ***** driver ,into the latch opening. essentially simulating the door closing. you should hear a click of the microswitch asyou push on it up and down. theres also an electronic fuse located on the control board itself. requires taking panel down. white rectangle mounted on electronic box with 2 black wires leadiing to it. part number 8193762. comes with instructions if needed
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Based on your description and the model being a Whirlpool DU1055XTPS there is indeed an internal "fuse" or as Whirlpool refers to it, "thermal fuse" or "bimetal". I'd suggest you likely have a faulty thermal fuse in the control board, but it is not resettable unfortunately.
It's pretty easy to replace or to check, I've attached a link below to change the fuse, but you can also use the link to access the thermal fuse to check it.
With the aid of an ohm meter, (**and the electricity off...safety first**) remove one wire and measure across the two contacts and it should show continuity, otherwise it's open and therefore no good.
The part is available at most brick & mortar part places or on-line at vendors such as "repairclinic.com" or searspartsdirect.com" to name a couple. Part number 8193762...looks like this image and retails for about $15-$20USD based on the model you provided.
This is the youtube link to help with the repair "how to".
the sprayer is clogged with ****. I had the exact same problem. my mother-in-law gave me of some 80 year old man that has fixed appliances all his life. Ten minuets after he got to the house it was fixed. cost $70.00. He just took a couple things apart dumped out the **** inside the parts and put it back together.
Hope this helps.
When you remove the bottom panel cover, check the wiring connection inside the junction box on the right for a loose or shorted wire. If that's ok, open up the console and check the continuity of the thermal fuse that's clipped to the control board. Chances are it needs to be replaced. Good luck!
Your problem is: whirlpool gold quiet partner iv will not turn on there is no sign of life in it at all.
Usually this indicates that the power is disrupted. First check the breakers. 9 times out of 10 it's a broken, loose or burnt connection in the d/w junction box. It's located underneth the d/w behind the kick plate on the right or center, depending on model. Turn the power off at breaker and remove cover. Take each wire nut off and repair/replce as nessessary. Test before you close it up.

Sounds like you have a defective Maytag repairman.. all kidding aside.. If you checked the junction box underneath the dishwasher and the wires are all correctly bonded together and power is there.. then it seems as if the control board may have been jarred loose from a connector or your door interlock switch isn't made. Was the Maytag Repairman there after you checked the power feed? If so.. he should have checked everything else for you.. Call him back and complaign.. In fact.. call whoever your repair provider is and ask for a manager and explain what happened.. I know these guys are not supposed to do some things but you did not get properly serviced...
Hope this helps..
I don't know if your dishwasher is the same as mine, but this solution may be what you need. For electronic panel dishwashers made by whirlpool (mine is a whirlpool but with a kenmore name on it), some of them can be reset by pushing in sequence the Heated-Dry button followed by the Normal-Wash button, several times in a row.
that is... Push Heated-Dry, then Normal-Wash, Then Heated-Dry, then Normal-Wash... Repeat until all lights light up.
When all lights light up you can stop. The washer will then take 5-10 minutes to go through a diagnostics cycle, which is about 18-25 steps or so. You can bypass one step at a time by pushing the STart button. This may not apply to your washer, but is pure gold if it does. Good Luck!
