Question about Whirlpool Calypso GVW9959K Top Load Washer
Ld and ob
Ld=long drain..... ob= out of balance.. both related to not draining quick enough, therfore spins with too much water thowing it self off bal. ever have any problem with this machine. heres what i can suggest. tip the machine back and remove 3 5/16 screws holding bottom panel on . on the right side approx 2/3 of the way back is the pump assy.( a yellow and black hose going to pump. are there clips on the pump hoding it up to the pump motor???if so yuou can realease the clips and diconnect the hoses lookin for lint build up in pump itself.WARNING!!! you will ge wet ther is ALWAYS water indide this pump especcially if you not pumping out correctly.i use a large black trash bag under to catch water.sounds like a clogged drain pump. they have a replacement for this particular pump. itcomes as 1peice now pump and motor, bigger ports to prevent lint build up, easy enough to replace if needed. sounds like aclog fro sure though good luck

Caution: if your wife uses wired bras, the wire may come out and get stuck in the drain from the top allowing it to collect lint and clog. ask her if any of them have been missing the wire, if so then that is probally the problem and you must take the tip of the tub off to get it out with some mechanical fingers. if not then the clog might be underneath in the pump or drain housing. good luck.
