The copier is printing lines (long ways - top to bottom) toward one side of paper about1 1/2 inches from the edge. It also smudges in various portions of the paper like the internal parts need cleaning. The image copied from the master page is sharp such as lines text, etc. The glass is clean. Is there any type of cleaning paper similar to those for ink jets that can be used on this copier?

Re: toshiba 2060 marks on papaer
There is no such paper for copiers that I know of in 18 years. What you can do is try to run some blank pages throw the copier. This can tell 2 things if the line gets lighter in may be in the fixing ***'y and the upper fusing roller is shoot, needs to be replaced and or if it dose not clear up you may need a cleaning blade for the drum(OPC) and or the drum and blade as a set. It depends on how old the parts are? You may need to replace all 3 items and a general cleaning. Here is a idea for you are you running LTR or LTR-R you may be able to switch the paper arould to avoid the line all togather. Good Luck.... You may need a service call on the copier. With the age of the copier I might just go with the cheap fix first.

While the line is showing up on the output pages. Stop printing and put paper in the manual feed tray (tray 1). Start printing again. As a page gets pulled into the printer about 1/2 way open the top cover. Pull out the toner and look at the page inside the printer. If it doesn't have the grey/black line, get the fuser replaced. It is defective.
There are two possibilities that I can think of. One, there is something preventing the paper from being "picked" or two, the paper is not in the right location. Remove the paper and look for foreign objects or a paper wad stuck in the paper path. You might need a flashlight to see. Also the back panel is removable to get a better look.
Check that the paper is inserted all the way into the paper tray and that the paper tray is inserted fully into the printer. The 8.5 x 11 paper should be about one inch from the forward edge of the tray and the tray should be within about 1.5 inches of the upper tray's forward edge. The side stops should be within an 1/8 of an inch of the side walls on the printer's chute.
If the printer has been used a lot, the pinch rollers might be worn out, but that would be unusual.
Open front cover of your 2060. Inside the copier, on the left side, there is a blue lever labeled "A". Press lever "A" towards the left while pushing down on the top of copier....this will unlatch the **** shell and allow the upper portion to lift upward. The waste (used) toner container is located in the center of front frame (semi-clear plastic). Lift upward on container until it clears the frame, CAREFULLY pour the contents into a plastic lined trash can. Replacement is reverse of removal.
Exactly where in the machine does the paper jam??If it jams when you hit the print button, try cleaning the paper feed tires with WD40.spray it on a clean cloth, clean the feed and pickup tires thoroughly and make sure to get ALL of the WD40 off the tires before using the machine. If you take the paper cassette out and look with a flashight you should be able to identify the paper feed tires.
Have you tried the manual feed tray? Which way is the letter size paper being feed in? LTR or LTR-R. You may have a reg. clutch that is slipping. I would also look to see if you have any paper jamed behind the paper tray and make sure the paper trat is displaying that ltter paper is in the papre tray the same way as displayed. Good Luck
it could be the printer settings. Before you actually print something go to File>print:- and then choose properties, click on advanced and ensure that the correct paper and size is set to how you want it.
Do the black lines only show up when useing the adf???? Or do they show up on both the adf and the copyboard glass??? If it is only when using the adf...... The fix is easy.... you have to clean the smaller piece of glass that is to the left of the copyboard glass with windex or rubbing alchola. If it is with both you may need a new drum and blade or a new ufr... Good Luck
