Question about Relisys RLT1720 17" LCD Monitor
Yo my lil bro has a mag crt moniter i have no idea what model it is but one day i was installing a bounch of games and updates on his pc and i was on there for about an hour then i left the room to see what else i could put on there and i came back 5 mins later and the screen was black like it wasnt on but the moniter was on. so i moved the mouse arround to see if it was on stand by, then restarted the pc, then i turned off the monitor and turned it back on and still nothing but the green light. i also tried see if it would work on my pc but the same prob presist. so i turned off the serge protector and waited about 5-10 mins and i switched it back on then turned on my moniter without any pc connected and the same thing happens and i also realize thhat theres no semi loud electro magnetic pulse sound with the click at the end. i just get a quiet sound thats high pitched were that sound is supposed to go off. is there any solution to this??
I used to repair LCD flat screen from Dell. I am not sure that my method might be applicable to your CRT monitor. Anyway this is how to examine what wrong with the monitor. You have to
check if you can see the image on the screen or not after it went blank
(Power on both CPU and monitor) by shining a flashlight into the
screen, not directly but find the best angle to the screen and take a
closely. If you can see the icons or any image, there will be a minor
problem. In my case, I can see window image using flashlight and check lamps
of them were broken and it is very easy to replace. If you cannot see
the screen, there'll be some problems with inverter board. If you have
soldering tool and want to fix it by yourself, check the caps first. It
cause this problem. Some caps might show leaking or burn spot on the
because of too high temp. If you don't have soldering tool, you better
go get a
technician to do so.
