Everytime u switch the laptop on it makes a very high beep noise which goes on for ages. it does eventually boot up to windows after a minute or two of beeping. ive tried alsorts, took ram out and swapped it, removed the fan and cleaned it, changed the operating system, updated the bios, Very annoying!

I understand your frustration and effort to make your laptop okay but
I think you need to check the laptop manual and see if you can disable the warning beep sound or contact the acer support team Just give it a try.
