Generally speaking....the Sharp Blu-ray is working just fine. The problem is you are not using commercially made programs or movies that are universal and burned for use in a standard player. When a COPY of a Movie is made on a home burner; the speed and other factors may not be consistent with commercial values. In lieu of a BR disc.; try using a USB Thumb Drive in your TV or Computer. Just go to Torrenting . com for free movies; download your selections, and copy the data to the USB drive. Then put the USB drive into the Computer or TV and enjoy. It is cheaper than burning a disc and you can erase the USB device and use it over and over again. Good luck the BentonComputerDoctor at Hotmail.

I need to download a movie that called pokemon destiny deoxys to torrent but it is an rar file how can i download it

Usually, .rar is supported by WinZip (version 12 and later) and WinRAR, and similar file archive programs. .rar is ideal for compressing/archiving documents, pictures, small music files and executable programs.

With movies, it is better to download those with the extension of either .divx .mpg .avi or .mp4 (as a movie file) these can be converted to standard DVD with most video converting software if the necessary codecs supporting these formats are installed. Then it's just a matter of burning the result to a DVD-R with either the conversion program or similar disc writing application such as Nero.

You can try downloading it if you wish, and if is a torrent file, then the best torrent download client is uTorrent - a lightweight freeware application which is not bundled with other software and has no sneaky stuff. It won't hog system resources either and is completely user-friendly. Up to you what you do with the rar file (if it just a single file) once you finish the download you can always run a virus/malware/adware scan to be sure. It may or may not work for you. If it is a genuine rar archive, you can unpack it; and if it is a real movie file, convert it to DVD as mentioned above.

I don't recommend downloading any movie files with .rar as an extension.

Instant movies won't download

Make sure you are running the latest firmware for your player (www.insigniaproducts.com).

Make sure you have a USB stick in the back of the drive (just in case).

Make sure you are on the 30 day free account or have your own Netflix account.

Set up your network connection and check the network connection by running the network test in the BluRay player.

Authinticate your player with Netflix.

At this point you should be able to playback movie files.

Hope this helps!

I need the code to play movies

Store bought movies do not need codes

If it is home made then your download source eg torrent or usenet was bad.

Should you mean a "region free hack" then they vary between makes and even models. Some players are not even capable of these hacks so you would have to do an internet search for it.
Beware there are sites that may want to charge you for it

DO NOT USE THESE SITES

as there are plenty of free ones

It's asking me for a update in order to play a MOVIE

You have burnt a pirate copy of the film but not only that you have burnt on that is not the film at all but a commonly known scam that if run on a computer and you click yes you would have been taken to a site that could quite possibly infect your computer with a plethora of spyware trojans and other undesirable ****.

If you are going to download movies then take the time to learn which groups are which on the release scene and also make sure you have very good antivirus AND antispyware installed so that you can check out a movie before you burn it.

Sorry but you are SOOL with this and only time and experience will tell if your computer makes it to xmas

Burned a movie on pc dvd player cant read disc

Most AVI files from the torrent network use codecs to compress the size of the file you are downloading, and most DVD players only support the basic DIVX codec. A way to get around this issue is to use Nero software on your PC to burn a Video DVD. Selecting this option will make the program decipher the data and write it to the dvd as a compatible format with your standard DVD player.
