Why does the screen stay blue with a msg on it saying no video player or there's a waring msg. I can still see the value up and down. And sometimes the screen will just come on and work fine.

Sounds like you have a glitch. Try to remember when it started and then go into your start menu, type in 'system restore' and follow the instructions and select a time before the problem started. That should help with this and a lot of other issues.

Sorry to tell u, but ur screen went out.. That brand will only last so long. Maybe a loose wire somewhere, but from what I've read, it is just overblown.

D65TSG

Hi. From what I'm learning about this unit it seems that the time will stay set until you run GPS. Once you activate GPS it calibrates the unit's time to reflect China's, which I'm assuming is where the D65TSG is made. I haven't seen any solutions to this quirk.

Disconnect the negative cable from your battery for a few minutes, we had the same thing happen when we first bought ours. We found the fix on Crutchfield's website.

Screen to stay open

If you are mechanical incline then open up the unit and remove a couple of gears. It will have two motors, one to slide the screen in/out and one to flip it up/down. Remove one of the gear next to each motor and make sure no other one will fall or pop out of place to cause jam later. Now you can operate the unit in manual mode(by hand, lol). Be very careful and remember what goes where and handle loose pieces gently or you might creat more problems than fixing it. I charge $50 shipped to perform the same service. Goodluck.
