Ok! I hope you can learn a valuable lesson to back up everything important next time before you are starting to format your camera.
But, this time, in order to restore these lost pictures, you can try to apply a deleted photo recovery freeware that can do its utmost to retrieve all your wanted photos back successfully just in the same way as it completely gets back the data of my friend off from his camera memory card:

PS: Next time, you'd better be more careful about your needed data.

When u format, the files arnt gone they are still there. Formating just removes the index to the files so the device cant reconise them. Get software called rescue pro. it gets all files from formated memory cards it even does hard drives!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sorry once you format a card the images are gone. most of the time. if they are real important pictures then there are services out their that can retrive them. you might want to take out the memory chip turn on the camera and see if you still have photo's on the internal memory.

How do i delete photos from a nikon d 60 digital camera

To delete individual pictures, press the trashcan button while viewing the picture, then confirm.
To delete all pictures, format the memory card. FixYa is full of people asking how to retrieve pictures from cards that hadn't been formatted recently.
The format command is in the setup menu. Full details are in the "Formatting Memory Cards" section of the manual (page 24 in my copy). If you need a manual, you can download one here.

My Vivitar 8025 has over 1000 pictures on my 2G drive. Suddenly, they appeared erased and now it is saying no file exists when you turn the camera on. What can I do to get my pictures back? Please help.

Take no more pics until you've recovered the photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that are available to help you recover your photos. This blog article reviews and outlines several of the better ones.
Now AFTER you've recovered your photos, you'll need to format your card IN YOUR CAMERA using your camera's built-in format feature. This will rejuvenate the card, and will prevent this from happening again (bet you never formatted the card when you first got it?). Formatting the card when first used is necessary to preserve the card's file structure. It may work fine at first if not formatted, but in nearly all cases it will corrupt with time if it wasn't formatted. Note that formatting will also erase the card, so again format only after you've recovered and saved your photos onto your computer.

Picture error message on olympus 1200

Sounds like you will need to format the memory card. This will permanently erase all the data from the card and then you will be able to use it again. To format the card: Press the Menu button - right arrow to setup - right arrow to format option. You will see format yes or no. Choose Yes and press ok. This will clear the Picture error message and the card can be used again. The picture error message indicates that this image is now corrupted and unable to be viewed through the camera.

Memory card formatted in error

Once the memory card is formatted, the files saved or pictures will be deleted and there is no way to retrieve the images.

I would advise that you transfer the pictures first to your PC before formatting the memory card.

Problem with xd card

if you connect your camera to your pc via a usb lead which should have come with the camera windows should recognise it and you can view the pictures in picture viewer or go to my computer where your camera will show as a seperate removable drive, click on explore and there will probably be a folder called olympus open this and you should be able to see the photos
