Hey, watch this tutorial and try the things it suggest.

Id highly recommend, restarting, and returning the device into the original state.

All this is covered in the video here:

http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/tutorials/troubleshooting.html

You can also try reinitializeing your usb ports from the device manager by uninstalling them and then restarting the pc to reinstall them.

If that doesnt help contact the appel support.

My computer dosent reeds my ipod

b> IPods are the most popular MP3 player used. The Apple product is compatible with Mac computers and PCs as long as the appropriate programs are used. In order for an iPod to be used, it must be recognized by your computer. At times you may need to do a bit of troubleshooting, but overall, this is an easy task when these steps are followed.

Download iTunes from Apple for free. ITunes is the program needed to use an iPod. The download is safe and will not give your computer a virus. Plug the white connector cord that came with your iPod into the iPod and into the USB drive on your computer. Open iTunes if it does not automatically open when you plug the iPod into your computer. ITunes should automatically recognize your iPod. Unplug your iPod from the computer. Move the toggle reset button at the top to "hold" three times. Then hold the center button and play button to restart the iPod. Repeat steps one through four. If iTunes does not recognize your iPod, unplug the iPod from your computer. Let the battery die. Charge the iPod and plug it into your computer. The computer should recognize the iPod.

My Computer and my iTunes do not recognize my iPod. The iPod will start to charge, but it never really charges, will recognize all other iPods!

1. Reset or restore your iPod for a try, this can fix many general iPod problems. 2. You may try this iTunes alternative, I always use it to upload music and video to my iPod once my iTunes can't recognize my iPod, my friends recommend it to me, it's safe and works pretty well, you can also use it to copy music and video from ipod to computer for backup, it's useful when you lost your iTunes library. 3. Update your iTunes to the latest version. Plug in your iPod. If iTunes can't recognize it, then in iTunes in the top left corner click help> run diagnostics. On the box that comes up, check the last two things. Click next and it should identify your iPod. I got this method from Apple technical support. Hope it helps. Hi! Try to reset your ipod by pressing menu and center button for 6 seconds. If still doesn't work then there might be a problem with your battery. If your ipod is under warranty then get it replaced else you can go for battery replacement. This link will prove helpful-

My Computer and iTunes does not recognize my iPod

Try this: turn off your ipod, hold the home button, and plug it into itunes while still holding the home button until a picture of the itunes symbol appears with a cable under it. itunes should say "ipod found in restore mode". This will completely reset your ipod, hopefully fixing any bugs or problems in it. also, you will lose all data saved on the ipod that isn't also backed up by itunes. Music, pictures, and video can be re-synced.

30g video hang!

Well, there's no need to panic - your iPod disk is probably OK. Here are few suggestions that may help you unfreeze the iPod and get it working again.

Step 1. Reset the iPod - Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.) Now press and hold the MENU and center button together for 10 seconds or until the Apple logo appears.

Step 2: If the above trick doesn't unlock the ipod, leave the device as such to drain the iPod battery. Once it discharges completely, reset and plug it to the computer for charging.

Always keep your iPod firmware updated - you can use itunes to check the latest version of the software from Apple website.

We tested this hack with the iPod Nano though it should work on other models as well like the shuffle or the video iPods.
