Some IBM's don't have a wireless switch. If it's asking you to check to be sure that the wireless switch is on, or it won't let you enable the radio, try a different driver. Get the make and model of the wireless card and go to

Why does my Visual Land 9 tablet lose power while turned off? It hasn't been charging much at all lately. I've had to find a different charger since getting it, but even now, that one doesn't help.

You are not turning it ll the way off, merely to standby. The wireless function remains active while in standby and drains the battery. Hold the Off switch for about 5 seconds. You should notice a different screen look. Or turn off the wireless when not using it.

Hello , i can't connect my laptop on wireless network , i don't know where from .. please help me :D

1) Check if the laptop has a mechanical switch to disable wireless, look for the logo for wireless by a switch on the laptop (it's a dot with curved lines above it), turn it on

2) If there is a switch, and it was off, when turning it on, windows will likely pop up about wireless networks detected, if not, go into control panel, look for the networking category, click this, there should be a link for wireless networking in there.

When I use my wireless land line phone I lose my Internet connection with my laptop computer. I have a Dynex wireless G router and the number on the back is 7J29A. Is there anything I can do to fix this...

Your wireless router can be configured to use different "channels." Each channel is a range of frequencies (around 2.4GHz) which is also what your phone uses. By default most wireless routers are usually set to channel #8. Change it to channel 1 or channel 2. If that doesn't work you need a different wireless router or phone, so the frequencies won't match.

I cant connect to the internet. the build in ethernet card says it is disconnect, and someone says there is a wireless switch on this computer. It won't show any wireless connections in range even though i...

Check in the Device Manager, if it shows as working, I would uninstall the device, then reinstall with the latest drivers. If it still doesn't work, you may need to see about replacing the wireless radio, if that is possible on this particular machine.

I could not find anything indicating that there is a physical on/off switch for the wifi on your particular machine.

Cannot connect to internet by land line or wireless

Is this one of the HP laptops which has a wireless switch underneath the laptop? Check the bottom of the laptop to see if there is a small switch which has to be in the right position to get a wireless or wired network connection for you.

When wireless switch is flipped on Toshiba laptop Satellite A105-S2716 - the screen goes black and blinks repeatedly. I thought my screen was going bad but as soon as I flip the wireless switch to 'off'...

this could be a connection problem with the wireless antenna, which is interfering with the monitor, as most laptops have a high effeciency antenna which is fitted in the screen surround, so i would send to a qualified repairer to check it out.

Help connecting

There should be a little switch on the front edge of the laptop with a little indented picture of a stick with curved lines comeing off it, switching it back and forth turns thw wireless on and off, when it is on a light next to the switch should turn on.
If this does not work maybe your wireless card is broken, if you are under warranty still you should have it looked at by a professional.
