Question about Sony Walkman Bean NW-E307 MP3 Player

1 Answer

My mp3 worked fine, but all of a sudden my sound is not as it should be. I can hear the music quite fine, but the voices aren't hearable. Sometimes you can hear a voice clearly on some songs, but mostly it is not or barely hearable. It kind of sounds like when the battery is low, only the music is fine and in a normal tempo. How can I fix it? I didn't do anything to my mp3 and I don't have any virus on it.

    Sorry,

it seems the site has put a wrong mp3 on it. The mp3 is a really old one, but I don't have a brand on it or something. It just says: "digital mp3 player" above the screen and "innside" (yes, 2 N) below.

Although it's an old one, it had almost never been used.

Could anyone please help me on this one?

    Thanks a lot! :)

The earphone jack inside the player has broken the 'Ground' pin off the circuitboard. The jack needs to be resoldered. This does take an experienced technician with watchmaking skills.

-> Can that happen without doing anything with your mp3? I can understand that it happens if the mp3 had fallen on the ground, but without doing anything?

Anyway, thank you very much for your answer! I don't think I'll get it fixed, since it was a free one.

    Greetings!

It usually happens if the headphone wire is caught and pulled sideways to the unit. This is common on a wide variety of walkmans. The headphones themselves can do this too, so always test with a second set of 'phones before tossing the unit!

If you have been using your computer with the audio on full you will probably have blown the speaker cones. An easy fix. Add some external speakers.

Song sounds weird like cant hear the beat of the song all i can hear is music but no beat or voices

It's probably your headphones, did you plug it in all the way? Check the cord for rips or tears. Or it's the quality of the music file. Sometimes they're corrupt and won't work correctly.

It sounds like it's definitely a problem with your iPod. . . Sometimes the connectors on the inside of the unit can go bad. I've not heard now this can be fixed though. I would try calling apple and seeing it the unit is still under warranty.
