mcdevito75 here, Generally you need to operate 2 buttons, to set the functions, try pressing the MODE button see the display flashing, press MODE again to see each function, when at the function you want to adjust, press SET, press MODE again to move onto next function, once all functions are set, press MODE for staedy display. If this fails, look for a small watch repair shop in your area for help.
mcdevito75 here, generally you need operate 2 bittons to set your Casio watch, the MODE and SET buttons. Press the Mode button, you may have to hold it in for 2-3 seconds, see the display falshing, press MODe to go to each function, once at the function you want to adjust, press SET press MODE to move onto next function, once all functions are set, press MODE for steady display. If this fails, look for a small watch repair shop in your area for help setting up the watch.

The trick with the FS1 is that you have to wait between button pushes. Don't try to skip ahead of the pace of the watch, it is slow to set anything. That is the rub with 1 button operations.
Push the button, wait for the prompt, enter the info, push the button, wait for the prompt, etc.
if after trying this it still doesn't work you will either need to take it back and exchange or send into polar. There is a warranty service available. Again that link is under my tips and tricks.

I was having the same problem and came across your post - I figured out how to change the secondary display. While in Train mode, with your foot pod activated, hold the View button. The secondary display will change and say "CAD" or "PACE"...keep doing this until you get to the right display. Hope this helps!
