This is usually caused by data within the print job. Microsoft Office sends paper size and job data with each job. Clear all print jobs in the computer sending the job.(Start/Printers/double click the canon printer and delete all jobs in the print que. Clear the Canon by off/on. Open a program and print a standard letter size document to test. This can be corrected by going to the page/document setup choices under "File" or the Ball in MS Office. Usually this is set to A4 or Bypass by mistake within the application. Thanks
You have to clear out all documents one by one in the print que before you can delete the one causing the trouble. On the bottom right side of your pc screen, find the picture of the printer and right click with your mouse on it. Open your print que and right click on each document and choose "delete" until therer are none left in the print que. If this does not clear that last document, then unplug your usb cord that connects the printer to your pc and wait a few moments, and then plug it back in. This should clear it out.
Open the Print Que and see if it will let you pause the print job. Then close the que and turn the printer off. Open the print que again and see if it will let you delete it. For some reason every now and again a que will hang. This process should reset the que. It will dump everything in printer memory and should release the document to delete the job. In any event pausing the job should release the printer to print other jobs.
It seems the printer buffer memory has overflowed. Cancel the print from the print Que and switch off the printer. Give your PC a reboot too. Now switch on the printer and make sure that there is no document in the print Que. If its still there, disconnect the printer and delete the pending job, i.e. print Que. After the printer shows it ready for printing do not release the entire document for printing at one go. Breakup the print job in 3 parts and for each part manually enter the page numbers and then give the print command. Repeat this till the entire lot is over..........................sodeep
